PHP and MySQL are incredibly powerful open source technologies. This course allows users to create functional websites and apps that go way beyond basic HTML. These two platforms have been virtually inseparable for many years, and major groundbreaking websites such as Word Press, Wikipedia, and Facebook use PHP and MySQL technologies.
Debugging WordPress Performance using EasyEnginertCamp
WordPress has thousands of themes and plugins freely available. Not all of them are coded beautifully or tested with big WordPress sites. When a bad piece of code goes live on a WordPress site, it can slow down site and even crash server in some cases.
Goal of this session is to show how EasyEngine and other tools/techniques can be used to debug performance bottleneck on a WordPress site.
This will make life of developers and system admins easy.
PHP is a first class citizen on IIS. A lot has been done in order to make sure that PHP can work well and fast on Windows. We will start by installing PHP with PHP Manager and discussing all the options including what thread safe vs non thread safe and VC6 vs VC9 means. Next we'll take a look at how to optimize the FastCGI IIS extension that Microsoft and Zend developed to provide a secure and performant environment for PHP applications. The last part of this webcast will show how to build PHP with Profile Guided Optimizations (PGO), a technique that can provide a significant performance boost in a wide range of applications.

With Internet Explorer 9, Microsoft has entered the league of HTML 5 browsers and with its active participation in the W3C working groups, the company proves its engagements towards the new and emerging standards. Developers however are often left wondering where the boundaries are drawn between HTML5 web site, plug-in based rich internet application and smart client or “app”.
This session intends to answer this question and uses many examples to show you some of the most important enhancements introduced by HTML5, CSS3, SVG, DOM, WOFF and ECMA script. You will learn now the standards are still evolving and how Microsoft is contributing.

OAuth-as-a-service using ASP.NET Web API and Windows Azure Access Control - W...Maarten Balliauw
API’s are the new apps. They can be consumed by everyone using a web browser or a mobile application on their smartphone or tablet. How would you build your API if you want these apps to be a full-fledged front-end to your service without compromising security? In this session, Maarten will explain how to build an API using the ASP.NET Web API framework and how the Windows Azure Access Control service can be used to almost completely outsource all security and OAuth-related tasks.
If you have tried WordPress.com and are ready to move to a self-hosted website, this presentation is for you. It will go over the basics of installing WordPress, migrating content and customizing your site.

Think little old librarians don't steal? Think again. Fraud happens in libraries throughout the U.S.
Here are a few examples for theft from libraries, and a few thoughts about how to prevent fraud in your local library.
Web sever environmentA Web server is a program that uses HTTP (Hy.pdfaquacareser
Web sever environment:
A Web server is a program that uses HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol) to serve the files that
form Web pages to users, in response to their requests, which are forwarded by their computers\'
HTTP clients. Dedicated computers and appliances may be referred to as Web servers as
well. The process is an example of the client/server model. All computers that host Web sites
must have Web server programs. Leading Web servers include Apache (the most widely-
installed Web server), Microsoft\'s Internet Information Server (IIS) and nginx
(pronouncedengine X) from NGNIX. Other Web servers include Novell\'s NetWare server,
Google Web Server (GWS) and IBM\'s family of Domino servers. Web servers often come as
part of a larger package of Internet- and intranet-related programs for serving email,
downloading requests for File Transfer Protocol (FTP) files, and building and publishing Web
pages. Considerations in choosing a Web server include how well it works with the operating
system and other servers, its ability to handle server-side programming, security characteristics,
and the particular publishing, search engine and site building tools that come with it.
Advantages of using a web server within your development environment:
Problems posed by web server environment and methods to solve:
Various high-profile hacking attacks have proven that web security remains the most critical
issue to any business that conducts its operations online. Web servers are one of the most
targeted public faces of an organization, because of the sensitive data they usually host. Securing
a web server is as important as securing the website or web application itself and the network
around it. If you have a secure web application and an insecure web server, or vice versa, it still
puts your business at a huge risk. Your company’s security is as strong as its weakest point.
Although securing a web server can be a daunting operation and requires specialist expertise, it is
not an impossible task. Long hours of research and an overdose of coffee and take away food,
can save you from long nights at the office, headaches and data breaches in the future. Irrelevant
of what web server software and operating system you are running, an out of the box
configuration is usually insecure. Therefore one must take some necessary steps in order to
increase web server security. Below is a list of tasks one should follow when securing a web
server.
1. Remove Unnecessary Services
Default operating system installations and configurations, are not secure. In a typical default
installation, many network services which won’t be used in a web server configuration are
installed, such as remote registry services, print server service, RAS etc. The more services
running on an operating system, the more ports will be left open, thus leaving more open doors
for malicious users to abuse. Switch off all unnecessary services and disable them, so next time
the server is rebooted, they .

10. 1. Responsive
Joomla is now officially responsive – mobile device ready, due to the
help of Bootstrap. The front-end will have the responsive built-in
feature, the back-end also inherits this tweak. You will NOW officially
be able to get your site under control even when you are ”on-the-go”
with just a mobile device!

12. 2. Bootstrap
The big word for Joomla 3.0 is Bootstrap.
With basic CSS already integrated into
Joomla 3.0, it is aiming for a much better
UX for the end-user.
azian.i-imatec.joomla3.2014
12
13. 3. LESS CSS
LESS is a dynamic stylesheet language designed by Alexis Sellier and has
recently been integrated into Joomla 3.0. The development of a template has
significantly changed by the use of LESS. All the website templates and
backend will include /less directory and template.less files. Those two are
meant for importing both Bootstrap and JUI (less files and media/jui/less
files). That enables the template designers to define which file should be
applied to their template, and which one will be imported to the LESS JUI.
azian.i-imatec.joomla3.2014
13
14. 4.With JUI (for Extension Developers)
• The Joomla User Interface (JUI) library provides a
common set of tools that enables component
developers to share a common ground of elements,
drastically reducing time in coding, without having to
innovate and create their own library but still having
a clean, nice looking interface. In addition, the
loading time is dropped dramatically for users who
are surfing around from one Joomla 3.0 site to
another, as the javascript and css files are already
loaded, adding an extra fast loading speed for the
Joomla 3.0 CMS.
azian.i-imatec.joomla3.2014
14
19. 6. 3 steps installation
• Right off the bat, you will immediately feel the ”difference" in UI of the
complete redesigned installation screen in Joomla 3.0. The installation
process is now simplified in only 3 steps compared to the 7 steps
procedure we had with joomla 2.5.
azian.i-imatec.joomla3.2014
19
20. 7. Drag and Drop Feature
azian.i-imatec.joomla3.2014
20
23. • The primary function of a web server is to store, process and deliver web pages to clients. The communication
between client and server takes place using the Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP). Pages delivered are most
frequently HTML documents, which may include images, style sheets and scripts in addition to text content.
• A user agent, commonly a web browser or web crawler, initiates communication by making a request for a specific
resource using HTTP and the server responds with the content of that resource or an error message if unable to
do so. The resource is typically a real file on the server's secondary storage, but this is not necessarily the case and
depends on how the web server is implemented.
• While the primary function is to serve content, a full implementation of HTTP also includes ways of receiving
content from clients. This feature is used for submitting web forms, including uploading of files.
• Many generic web servers also support server-side scripting using Active Server Pages (ASP), PHP, or
other scripting languages. This means that the behaviour of the web server can be scripted in separate files, while
the actual server software remains unchanged. Usually, this function is used to create HTML
documents dynamically ("on-the-fly") as opposed to returning static documents. The former is primarily used for
retrieving and/or modifying information from databases. The latter is typically much faster and more easily
cached but cannot deliver dynamic content.
• Web servers are not always used for serving the World Wide Web. They can also be found embedded in devices
such as printers, routers, webcams and serving only a local network. The web server may then be used as a part of
a system for monitoring and/or administering the device in question. This usually means that no additional
software has to be installed on the client computer, since only a web browser is required (which now is included
with most operating systems).
• Web servers bla bla bla please refer to the wikipedia bla bla bla if you want to know details. I’m not going bla bla

azian.i-imatec.joomla3.2014

24. • The term web server, also written asWeb
server, can refer to either the hardware (the
computer) or the software (the computer
application) that helps to deliver web
content that can be accessed through
the Internet.
