PTA flyer seeking volunteers to join the Community Garden Team at Ada Merritt K-8 School in Miami, FL

1. Join the Ada Merritt Community GARDEN TEAM!
We need VOLUNTEERS (no special skills required) to help expand our schoolyard garden &
habitat. Our students, wildlife and the entire school community receive the benefits! We’re
seeking “people power” which is vital to our success. Get inspired to get involved! Be
part of a fun team! Many roles available (besides gardening!) We need a hands-on
support base in the following areas:
maintenance & special projects
support from a landscaper and carpenter
incorporating art (artists/painters)
education/curriculum integration
public relations
Besides maintaining our ever growing habitats and beautifying our schoolyard, our vision
includes:
Setting up Outdoor Learning Lab
Incorporating native plants
Rejuvenating our schoolyard and improving play spaces
Adding shade structures, bird feeders, stones, vine tepees, play elements and more!
Responsibility for the garden’s continued success depends on us!
