This lab was designed to prove that the height of an object launched on a ramp is
relational to the distance it goes off the ramp.
Hypothesis:
When releasing a marble off of a ramp on a table, the higher up that the marble starts
on the ramp, the farther it should land from the table on the ground.
Design:
We placed a small ramp on a table and used clamps to ensure the ramp wouldn t
move and change our results. With tape, we marked each height we would drop the
marble from. Using a meter stick, we measured the height of the table, base of the

until the issue hit her desk. This is another aspect of business acumen that I believe
Cindy truly possessed; the ability to handle decisions so that the future brings
good outcomes. I could never ask for a better working environment or a better,
more knowledgeable boss. I have observed these skills and will apply them to my

and emotional impact. A polish composer, Krzysztof Penderecki, composed an
experimental piece, later titled Threnody to the Victims of Hiroshima, in 1960. The
piece was originally titled 8 37 but was changed when he heard it being performed.

of radiation exposure are well documented within the scientific literature and include
cataract formation, skin cancer, thyroid disease and leukaemia.1 Medical staff who

complications.2 With advances in medical technology in past decades and an ongoing
trend towards minimally invasive techniques, there has been a significant increase in
the use of fluoroscopy.3 5 During fluoroscopic procedures staff are exposed to both
direct and scattered radiation. Procedures that require long fluoroscopic screening
times, such as interventional radiology, cardiology and orthopaedic surgery, place the

centrifugal flow. Axial flow compressors are more common in power generation
because they have higher flow rates and efficiencies. The acceleration of the air
through the rotating blades and diffusion by the stators increases the pressure and
reduces the volume of the air. Although no heat is added, the compression of the air
also causes the temperature to increase. The compressed air is mixed with fuel
which ignites under constant pressure conditions and the hot combustion products

Judith Slaying Holofernes Analysis
In this essay, I will discuss the startling differences between two depictions of the
story of Judith and Holofernes. Judith with the Head of Holofernes , 1495, created by
Andrea Mantegna, is a small scale painting that was completed during the
Renaissance. The second is a Baroque painting, Judith Slaying Holofernes, c.1620 by
Artemisia Gentileschiand is on a larger scale than the version created by Mantegna.
Both artworks take inspiration from the religious story that appears in the Catholic
editions of the Bible. The story is about a young widowed Jewish woman, by the
name of Judith, who murdered an enemy army general, Holofernes, to spare her
people from death. I will compare and contrast how the scene has been depicted in
rather different ways by each of the artists and the influencing factors that
contributed to the overall outcome of both works. I will also be discussing how form
and naturalism are portrayed between the two paintings, use of colour, symbolism
and religion, as well as the Renaissance and Baroqueeras.
In each of the paintings, the figures appear somewhat different to each other, with
those in Judith Slaying Holofernes looking far more humanistic than that of Judith
with the Head of Holofernes . In Mantegna s painting, Judith and her servant, Abra,
look statuesque in pose while Judith, as if in pity for her victim, turns her eyes away
from the head of Holofernes that she holds above the bag her servant holds open
