John Keats was born
  in London in 1795.

During his school years,
  he developed a deep
interest in the classics.

His father fell from his
 horse and died when
John was eight. (1804)

 His mother died soon after,
   leaving the children to
live with their grandmother.

   John was then appointed
  to become an apothecary,
but he wasn't interested in it.

  Keats' friend and mentor,
  Cowden Clarke, introduced
him to other Romantics. (1816)
He published the volume
 “Poems” in 1817 and the
poem “Endymion” in 1818.


His early, classical works were
not appreciated by the critics,
   but had good circulation.

             Keats moved to Wensworth
              Place, Hampstead in 1818.

  During the year spent there,
he wrote his most mature works.
During 1820, he showed
 serious symptoms of
     tuberculosis.



  He moved to Rome at the
  suggestion of his doctors.
Keats died in 1821 and was buried
  in the Protestant Cemetery.
