PROFILE
A Procurement and Logistics Manager with over 30 years experience facilitating the supply chain for major
industrial projects in Australia, PNG, India and Pakistan. After 6 ½ years with Clough Projects, my role
became redundant due to no current or forthcoming projects with Clough Projects Group. I am seeking
permanent, contract or part time positions, FIFO is an option.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Pre-Project
• Analyse project requirements and the cost effectiveness and efficiency of a range of procurement
and logistics supply chain options and systems utilising a global network of resources.
• Compile and publish Request for Tender documents for Major Packages, Supply and Service to
attract quotations via eRFQ system.
• Evaluate tendered submissions and compile Recommendation for Approval reports.
• Negotiate procurement and supply agreements with selected vendors and sub-contractors.
• Coordinate charter vessels and the establishment of docking facilities such as lay down areas, tugs,
barges, lifting cranes etc in accordance with numerous international import and export regulations.
• Liaise with Customs officials to research and develop import and export requirements for all
countries in the supply chain to accurately forecast duties and taxes and action documentation in a
timely manner that facilitates the Pre-Project schedule.
• Develop logistics schedules in accordance with commencement of the construction phase.
• Coordinate manufacturing / fabrication service providers.
Construction / Establishment
• Establish and manage the supply chain during the construction / establishment phase of industrial
projects including locations in Australia, India, Pakistan and PNG.
• Establish and manage procurement based systems and management controls and procedures
(experienced up to 10.5K items of inventory in excess of $25M) using a range of Enterprise
Resource Planning (ERP) systems including Oracle, Schemis, SPMat and in-house created systems.
• Project manage the establishment and fit-out of Project Administration Offices on-site in remote
locations and / or in major cities of international countries including equipment, communications
and staffing.
• Project manage the set-up of warehousing facilities at strategic locations in the supply chain.
• Activate vendor and sub-contractor agreements in accordance with the project schedule.
• Develop, implement and monitor compliance with project specific procedures for procurement
and logistics including extensive liaison with Accounts Payable regarding approval of invoices.
• Establish expediting procedures and reports for daily monitoring and reporting on all orders.
• Develop Expediting tools to produce exacting purchase status reports to inform progress against
schedule and enable active intervention to achieve deadlines.
• Financial management including cash flow projections and purchasing forecasts.
• Coordinate Customs and Transport processes ensuring ongoing stakeholder communication.
Operations
• Operational management of satellite administration offices incorporating procurement, logistics,
finance and human resources functions.
• Operational management of warehouse facilities including materials handling procedures and
administration systems.
• Cost control and forecasting.
• Ongoing interface with Customs officials along the supply chain to promote positive relations and
