This document discusses a survey of over 9,000 professionals about their job seeking behaviors. The key findings are: [1)] Only 21% of employed professionals are actively seeking jobs, while 79% are passive candidates. [2)] Traditional job boards only reach the 21% of active seekers. [3)] Younger professionals with less tenure are more likely to be active seekers, while senior level professionals are even less likely to be actively seeking at just 14%. [4)] Companies need to better target the larger pool of passive candidates using tools beyond just job boards.
