Title: Customer Reference Program Manager
Job Summary: We are seeking a an experienced marketing or sales professional with a
proven track record of managing a customer reference program and/or advocacy program
to fill our open customer reference manager position. The efforts and responsibilities
associated with this position are critical for driving sales revenue, increasing market
credibility, and demonstrating the business value of our client’s solutions. We are looking
for someone who is ready to step into the spotlight and drive success through this
position.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
The person filling this position will be responsible for driving the development and
execution of our customer reference program that will support strategic marketing
priorities, improve sales’ win ratios, reduce sales cycle times and deliver value to our
customers.
• Develop strategies for integrated customer reference engagement plans that
showcase customer success via a variety of deliverables including but not limited
to: Peer Calls, Onsite Visits, Media Calls, Social Media, Case Studies, Email Q&As,
Recorded Interviews and Speaking Opportunities
• Manage relationships with key accounts to ensure customer availability for
priority sales and marketing engagements.
• Track reference materials and assets to gauge their usage and impact in order to
establish benchmarks for future activities.
• Develop online campaigns to drive reference customer recruitment across all
levels of the reference program.
• Oversee content development; perform customer/partner interviews to provide
the information necessary to align customers with strategic evangelism activities.
• Ensure prompt and consistent reference delivery, including closed-loop
communications with all internal/external parties.
• Ability to demonstrate good judgment in solving problems as well as identifying
problems in advance, and proposing solutions.

• Responsible for creating and developing new programs, procedures and ways of
tracking results in a currently unstructured environment; requiring new
perspectives and creative approaches.
• Directive to work closely with both our sales and marketing teams to ensure
appropriate ‘buy in’ and proper utilization of the Customer Reference Program.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
• 5+ years of broad marketing communications experience, including a minimum of
3-4 years of experience working directly with customers on the development of
customer reference materials
• Business/Marketing related degree is a preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Internet applications
• Experience with marketing in Social Media preferred
• Strong program management skills - Ability to manage multiple projects
concurrently
• Proven program management skills encompassing program planning, execution,
and evaluation
• Understanding of sales processes and technical sales software
• Ability to self-motivate and self-manage; define direction, get buy-in, and then
implement
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, editing and proofreading skills
• Exceptional presentation and interpersonal skills
• Strong work ethic and enthusiastic about new challenge
