Retinal Imaging Technician
HealPros is seeking a Retinal Imaging Technician to service several primary care practices
across the Bronx, NY and surrounding areas. The Technician is responsible for traveling to
multiple client locations and conducting high-resolution retinal imaging scans on diabetic
patients. This position is a temporary to permanent placement; there is up to a 3-month
temporary evaluation. HealPros is an equal opportunity employer.
Position Start Date: 5/19/2014 (subject to change)
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
1. Operate a Non-Mydriatic and SLO camera to conduct retinal images (after training).
2. Operate computer programs required to facilitate retinal imaging services (after training).
3. Complete retinal imaging screening exams and communicate with primary care
physicians, staff, and administration.
4. Respond to and immediately coordinate plans of corrective action related to technical
difficulties and provide direct communication to Supervisor.
5. Report to Imaging Technology Lead.
6. Complete paperwork and various administrative duties.
7. Ensure all service equipment is operable at all times and maintained in proper working
order.
8. Perform duties up to 40 hours per week (Saturdays may be required). Up to 8-hour
workday (between the hours of 7:30am to 8:00pm). Must arrive to worksite at least 30
minutes prior to first scheduled appointment.
Additional Functions and Responsibilities
• Assists with other tasks and projects as required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Must be fluent in Spanish and English
• Must be punctual and present a professional image
• Ability to competently operate the exam equipment and perform all necessary exam and
audit procedures
• Must demonstrate the ability to provide exceptional customer service
• Must be comfortable working and navigating in the Bronx, NY and surrounding areas
• Must be able to safely and properly transport and set-up high-resolution camera
equipment weighing up to 90 pounds
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Must pass a comprehensive background check
• Must be able and available to travel up to 2 hours per day
• Must have strong computer literacy
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality
• Must be resourceful and well organized
• Must be flexible with frequent program and individual responsibility changes

Education and Background
• High school diploma or equivalent required
Compensation & Benefits
• Temporary Employee - $120 per day
• Full Time Employee - $30,000 plus bonus opportunity
• Company vehicle or Auto Expense Reimbursement - $0.35 per mile
• Benefits will be provided to Full Time Employees only. Fixed company contribution
towards private health plan of employee’s choice.

Face-to-Face Contact.

  • 1. 235 Pharr Rd NE., Suite 3208, Atlanta, GA 30305 Telephone (888) 618-8111 Fax (702) 921-7994 www.healpros.com Retinal Imaging Technician HealPros is seeking a Retinal Imaging Technician to service several primary care practices across the Bronx, NY and surrounding areas. The Technician is responsible for traveling to multiple client locations and conducting high-resolution retinal imaging scans on diabetic patients. This position is a temporary to permanent placement; there is up to a 3-month temporary evaluation. HealPros is an equal opportunity employer. Position Start Date: 5/19/2014 (subject to change) Essential Functions and Responsibilities 1. Operate a Non-Mydriatic and SLO camera to conduct retinal images (after training). 2. Operate computer programs required to facilitate retinal imaging services (after training). 3. Complete retinal imaging screening exams and communicate with primary care physicians, staff, and administration. 4. Respond to and immediately coordinate plans of corrective action related to technical difficulties and provide direct communication to Supervisor. 5. Report to Imaging Technology Lead. 6. Complete paperwork and various administrative duties. 7. Ensure all service equipment is operable at all times and maintained in proper working order. 8. Perform duties up to 40 hours per week (Saturdays may be required). Up to 8-hour workday (between the hours of 7:30am to 8:00pm). Must arrive to worksite at least 30 minutes prior to first scheduled appointment. Additional Functions and Responsibilities • Assists with other tasks and projects as required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities • Must be fluent in Spanish and English • Must be punctual and present a professional image • Ability to competently operate the exam equipment and perform all necessary exam and audit procedures • Must demonstrate the ability to provide exceptional customer service • Must be comfortable working and navigating in the Bronx, NY and surrounding areas • Must be able to safely and properly transport and set-up high-resolution camera equipment weighing up to 90 pounds • Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record • Must pass a comprehensive background check • Must be able and available to travel up to 2 hours per day • Must have strong computer literacy • Must be able to maintain confidentiality • Must be resourceful and well organized • Must be flexible with frequent program and individual responsibility changes
