The Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM) is the most ambitious urban development program in India. It aims to encourage reforms and fast track development in identified cities. The focus is on improving urban infrastructure, service delivery, community participation, and accountability of urban local bodies.
