Jesus cleansed a man with leprosy, demonstrating his power over disease. The man approached Jesus with respect, worshipping him and saying "Lord, if you will, you can make me clean." Jesus touched the man, curing his leprosy instantly. We should approach Jesus with respect, contentment in his plan, and confidence in his power, as he is worthy of our faith and able to overcome any problem.

When Jesus came down from the mountainside,
large crowds followed him.

7. We should show respect and honor to the person of
Christ. (v 2 - “there came a leper and worshipped Him,
saying, Lord” )
Leprosy was a skin disease which would eat away at
the flesh.
It was viewed in Bible times even worse than we
would view AIDS.
Many commentators say that the people of those times
would associate leprosy as a picture of sin.
The people in the crowd were about to learn how no
problem is too bad for Jesus.
They were also about to learn from the leper, how we
are to respond to/handle the power of Jesus.
The leper showed respect and honor to Christ.
When we approach Christ, do we show Him the
respect and honor that He deserves?

- The Ieper believedthatJesus had thepower to healhis body fromhis
leprosy.

- Jesus may have touched the Ieper to show that He had power over
the disease and wasn'taffected by it.
- The Ieper's filthy, diseased, rotting, stinky skin was made clean...
just by of the touch of the Master's hand!
-Jesus deserves our respect and faith. He is worthy!
