RELATED PROJECTS AND PAPERS
 Modelling, analysis and improvement of voltage profile – Performed load flow study of IEEE34 bus
system with various switching schemes using ETAP. Analyzed the voltage at different buses and improved
the voltage at all buses using capacitive compensations, booster transformers & changing the transformer
taps.
 Design of Photovoltaic system – Designed the 2MW PV system with buck/boost converter and inverter and
integrated it with the seven bus system connected to infinite grid using PSCAD.
 Photo Voltaic system Battery design and Interconnection with Grid Analysis – Sized the battery using
IEEE 485 and analyzed the PV system with varying irradiance and MPPT controller. The objective was to
linearize the output from PV to the microgrid.
 Capacitive discharge circuit –Proposed the super capacitor circuit in parallel with the battery as a combined
unit that can be kept in parallel with induction motors. The unit when used with battery bank can reduce the
standalone battery bank size substantially. The system can also be applied in electric vehicle’s needing inrush
power because of high initial torque.
 Gas and Load Forecast –Have taken part in various competition all over the world. Have performed projects
in Long term load forecasting, Short time load forecast, Long term gas forecast, long term probability load
forecasts etc. Making models to verifying cross effects of various parameters, applying Recency effect,
holiday effect and weekend effect finally to improve the MAPE and some case Pinball loss function.

 Green field 132kV substation and power distribution project at Hyderabad, India:
 Designed and handled project for 132 kV substation, power distribution system at 11kV and 415V
 Transformer sizing, generator sizing, compressors and HVAC
 Created flowchart for zero bus synchronism of DG sets
 Designed distribution system for overall lighting, earthing and lightning protection for office buildings
 Project at Singapore involving power system studies with arc flash evaluation, short circuit & relay and
breaker co-ordination.
 Project at Alexandria and Kansas, USA involving power distribution system design and safety circuit logic
design of Dry laundry Making & Packing lines.
Project at undergraduate level September 2007 – June 2011
Project
 Electromagnetic Projectile Accelerator (Coil Gun), Simulation as well as working model prepared which works
on the principle of Linear motors. Consisted of two main units 1) Charging unit and 2) Discharging unit. With
3.5V battery 4- 330 uF Capacitors were charged to 400 Volts in parallel and Discharged in Series on a coil
wound around the barrel with the projectile inside it.

Analyzed the voltage at different buses and improved the voltage at all buses using capacitive compensations, booster transformers & changing the transformer taps.  Design of Photovoltaic system – Designed the 2MW PV system with buck/boost converter and inverter and integrated it with the seven bus system connected to infinite grid using PSCAD.  Photo Voltaic system Battery design and Interconnection with Grid Analysis – Sized the battery using IEEE 485 and analyzed the PV system with varying irradiance and MPPT controller. The objective was to linearize the output from PV to the microgrid.  Capacitive discharge circuit –Proposed the super capacitor circuit in parallel with the battery as a combined unit that can be kept in parallel with induction motors. The unit when used with battery bank can reduce the standalone battery bank size substantially. The system can also be applied in electric vehicle’s needing inrush power because of high initial torque.  Gas and Load Forecast –Have taken part in various competition all over the world. Have performed projects in Long term load forecasting, Short time load forecast, Long term gas forecast, long term probability load forecasts etc. Making models to verifying cross effects of various parameters, applying Recency effect, holiday effect and weekend effect finally to improve the MAPE and some case Pinball loss function.

Consisted of two main units 1) Charging unit and 2) Discharging unit. With 3.5V battery 4- 330 uF Capacitors were charged to 400 Volts in parallel and Discharged in Series on a coil wound around the barrel with the projectile inside it.
