Electrical design Engineer:
o Interface with plant maintenance and operating personnel and assist in equipment
improvements, maintenance and repair.
o inspect and monitor the performance of each and every electric motor and circuit breaker
periodically so that all motors can work.
o Work in concert with other Plant Engineers and Maintenance Mangers to troubleshoot problems
and implement solutions.
o inspect load flow, short circuit, and arc flash calculation.
o Provided support on NRC communications, resolution of comments on LAR, modification

PROJECTS:
 As part of the switchyard upgrades, old 345-60 KV breaker was replaced with a new
breaker including new conduit, control/power cables and other associated equipment.
(October 2019).
 Upsize the TOL relay heater for the Emergency Exhaust Fan 460V motors DCGG02A /
DCGG02B and updated any associated documents as needed. (May 2018).
 CP 020214, The stop controllers on the SGK04A/B (Control Room Air Conditioning
Units) and SGK05A/B (Class 1E Electrical Air Conditioning Units) are obsolete. The
Honeywell bulletin 09-0142 discussed the obsolescence of the S684 and S984 step
controllers. The GK condensing units currently use model S984D1056/U (SR92102003).
The controllers are therefore no longer available and like-for-like spares are no longer
available. An alternate design needs developed as a replacement for these controllers.
The solution was to evaluate the Johnson Controls A36AHA-52c Multistage Thermostat
and three Agastat E7012AE Time Delay Relays as a replacement for the current
thermostat and step controller (2018)
 CP 20021, to replace the Engineered Safety Feature (ESF) transformer XNB01 and
XNB02. By new transformers equipped with a load tap changer (LTC) on the secondary
side of the transformer.
 DCP 015273 is being developed to provide an alternate power source for the Spent Fuel Pool
Cooling Pump Motors (DPEC01A and DPEC01B) that is independent of their normal class 1E
power supply. DPEC01A and DPEC01B are safety related motors. This also requires
equipment to start/stop the motors. This change package is classified as Safety Related
because equipment installed under this modification includes safety related, special scope
(seismic II/I), and non-safety related components to supply power to the motors. There are
no regulatory requirements for this alternate power installation. The integrity/qualification of
the primary power source will be maintained.
 XX-E-006 Rev.08, The purpose of this calculation revision is to evaluate the performance of
the Wolf Creek Nuclear Operating Corporation (WCNOC) Station Alternating Current (AC)
Electrical Distribution System (EDS). Detailed computer models developed using Operational
Technology, Inc.’s (OTI) Electrical Transient Analysis Program (ETAP) software, version
14.1.0N, are used to perform the analysis on the EDS as follows:
o Load Flow/Motor Starting analysis is performed to determine the minimum and
maximum transient and steady state voltages at equipment, buses, load centers,
and Motor Control Centers (MCCs) for Normal and Accident plant conditions.
o Short-Circuit analysis is performed to determine the maximum short-circuit
currents for balanced & for specific cases unbalanced faults in accordance with
the calculation methodology specified by ANSI/IEEE standards C37.13-1990, C37.010-1999,
and C37.04-1979.
 PK-E-001, the purpose of this calc to model Non-class 1E 125VDC system utilizing ETAP
software and to use this model for the following:
o To establish DC load profiles supplied by 125VDC Non-Class 1E batteries.
o To determine the recommended size and the available unused margin capacity for the
125VDC Non-Class 1E battery chargers.
o To perform short circuit study of the 125VDC Non-Class 1E system.

(October 2019).  Upsize the TOL relay heater for the Emergency Exhaust Fan 460V motors DCGG02A / DCGG02B and updated any associated documents as needed. (May 2018).  CP 020214, The stop controllers on the SGK04A/B (Control Room Air Conditioning Units) and SGK05A/B (Class 1E Electrical Air Conditioning Units) are obsolete. The Honeywell bulletin 09-0142 discussed the obsolescence of the S684 and S984 step controllers. The GK condensing units currently use model S984D1056/U (SR92102003). The controllers are therefore no longer available and like-for-like spares are no longer available. An alternate design needs developed as a replacement for these controllers. The solution was to evaluate the Johnson Controls A36AHA-52c Multistage Thermostat and three Agastat E7012AE Time Delay Relays as a replacement for the current thermostat and step controller (2018)  CP 20021, to replace the Engineered Safety Feature (ESF) transformer XNB01 and XNB02. By new transformers equipped with a load tap changer (LTC) on the secondary side of the transformer.  DCP 015273 is being developed to provide an alternate power source for the Spent Fuel Pool Cooling Pump Motors (DPEC01A and DPEC01B) that is independent of their normal class 1E power supply. DPEC01A and DPEC01B are safety related motors. This also requires equipment to start/stop the motors. This change package is classified as Safety Related because equipment installed under this modification includes safety related, special scope (seismic II/I), and non-safety related components to supply power to the motors. There are no regulatory requirements for this alternate power installation. The integrity/qualification of the primary power source will be maintained.  XX-E-006 Rev.08, The purpose of this calculation revision is to evaluate the performance of the Wolf Creek Nuclear Operating Corporation (WCNOC) Station Alternating Current (AC) Electrical Distribution System (EDS). Detailed computer models developed using Operational Technology, Inc.’s (OTI) Electrical Transient Analysis Program (ETAP) software, version 14.1.0N, are used to perform the analysis on the EDS as follows: o Load Flow/Motor Starting analysis is performed to determine the minimum and maximum transient and steady state voltages at equipment, buses, load centers, and Motor Control Centers (MCCs) for Normal and Accident plant conditions. o Short-Circuit analysis is performed to determine the maximum short-circuit currents for balanced & for specific cases unbalanced faults in accordance with the calculation methodology specified by ANSI/IEEE standards C37.13-1990, C37.010-1999, and C37.04-1979.  PK-E-001, the purpose of this calc to model Non-class 1E 125VDC system utilizing ETAP software and to use this model for the following: o To establish DC load profiles supplied by 125VDC Non-Class 1E batteries. o To determine the recommended size and the available unused margin capacity for the 125VDC Non-Class 1E battery chargers. o To perform short circuit study of the 125VDC Non-Class 1E system.
