This document proposes algorithms called Harvesting Aware Speed Selection (HASS) that manage energy harvesting and consumption for time-critical wireless sensor networks used in cyber-physical systems. HASS aims to maximize the minimum energy reserve across all nodes in the network to ensure resilient performance during emergencies. Both an optimal centralized solution and an efficient distributed solution are presented. Experiments show that HASS yields significantly higher energy reserves than baseline methods.
