This document summarizes a research paper on energy management techniques for time-critical wireless sensor networks that utilize energy harvesting. It proposes a general purpose multihop WSN architecture to support time-critical cyber-physical systems using energy harvesting. It then presents a Harvesting Aware Speed Selection algorithm that aims to maximize the minimum energy reserve for all nodes in the network to ensure resilient performance, including an optimal centralized solution and efficient distributed solution. Experiments show the algorithms yield significantly higher energy reserves than baseline methods.
