The presentation on painless OS upgrades discussed using tools like Composer, Disk Utility, and the App Store to capture OS images for new installs. It also covered using the App Store, AutoDMG, and Casper Imaging to deploy OS upgrades via caching installers and creating self service policies. NetBoot imaging was also discussed as a method for OS deployment.
