Personal health budgets (PHBs) aim to personalize public services by allowing individuals to have more control over their health care, helping them to meet their specific health goals. The pilot program, involving over 2,700 participants, demonstrated various benefits and provided insights into effective implementation, while challenges regarding public perception and communication remain. The UK government plans a national rollout of PHBs and has allocated funding to support this initiative, focusing on collaborative care planning between healthcare professionals and individuals.
