24. WHY CHOOSE FOR INTERNATIONAL
TOURISM AND LEISURE?
24
• More flexibility: It has never been easier to start your studies in February. It’s now possible for you
to graduate within 6 semesters, even with a start in the second semester, just like those who begin
the programme in September.
• New tracks: In 2020-2021, we will launch 3 new tracks within International Tourism and Leisure.
Your final degree will be in International Tourism and Leisure, but you can now tailor your degree
to your own specific interests. All tracks offer a double international experience, i.e. a study
exchange and an internship abroad. We’ll help you look for the perfect match for your professional
future.
• Travel & Tourism: This track is the perfect foundation if you want to become a highly skilled
tourism professional. Since Thomas More is the only IATA Authorized Training University of
Applied Sciences in Belgium, you’ll get the unique opportunity to integrate the
Fundamentals/Ticketing/Cargo course into your programme. This added value demonstrates
to employers across the globe that you are a committed tourism professional and that you
are an expert in taking care of passengers.
• Hospitality & Events: Do you want to become an expert in hospitality and events? Do you
strive to take your customer’s experience one step further? Then, this is the track for you! In
this specialisation, you’ll acquire the essential knowledge and skills you’ll need for roles
related to planning and organising events as well as those necessary for the hospitality
sector as a whole.
• Digital Innovations: As tourism is subject to rapidly changing contexts, it’s almost needless
to say that the tourism and travel industries are always looking to attract and retain the most
digitally savvy talent they can find. So, if you’re looking for a strong foundation in tourism,
combined with digital programming skills, e-tourism technology development, and topped
up with a big dose of innovation, this track is for you.

Editor's Notes
Welcome, second year English version, but for more than 50 years the reference ... Congratulations on enrollment in English version, the future, bla bla bla ... ;-)
8 trajecten
