International Tourism Management
Professional bachelor’s programme - BA - 3 or 4 years
The focus of this study programme is on change at tourism destinations and on the dynamics of the tourism business. After the
propaedeutic year you can opt for the specialisation International Tourism Management and Consultancy, International Tourism and
Travel Industry or Attractions & Theme Parks Management.
Bachelor of Science Tourism
Academic bachelor’s programme - BSc - 3 years
This academic bachelor is offered jointly by Wageningen University and NHTV Breda. In 3 years’ time, you will become an expert at
researching tourism. Your focus is on exploring tourism from a social, economic and environmental perspective. The first two years
take place in Breda and year three takes place in Wageningen.
Tourism Destination Management
Professional master’s programme - MA - 1 year
In this master’s programme you will learn to match the supply of international tourism destinations with the demand of tourists in a
responsible manner. The guiding principle in this process is making a positive contribution to the development of and opportunities for
people and businesses in the destination areas.

International Leisure Management
professional bachelor’s programme - BA - 3 or 4 years
The challenge for professionals in the leisure industry is to give people a memorable and life-enriching experience.
You can specialise in Attractions & Theme Parks Management, Social Innovation, International Event Management
or you opt for the broad-based track of International Leisure Management.
International Leisure Studies
academic bachelor’s programme - BSc - 3 years
The emphasis is on studying the leisure industry from a social as well as a business perspective; you will attend
business courses such as marketing, economics, innovation and social courses such as psychology, sociology and
anthropology.
Imagineering
professional master’s programme - MBA - 1 year
This master’s programme will teach you how to transform a business from a different perspective than the
traditional enterprise logic. Experience and imagination make up the driving force behind the new method. This

Leisure Studies
Academic master’s programme - MSc - 1 year
The boundaries between leisure sectors such as culture, media, events, sports and tourism are disappearing to an
increasing extent. That is why this academic master’s programme takes an integral approach to leisure, deriving
knowledge from disciplines such as sociology, psychology, economics, management, and marketing. The
programme lasts one year and comprises two phases.

At NHTV Breda you can pursue the professional bachelor’s programme in Hotel Management, which prepares you
for an international career in the hospitality industry. In Sibelicious, NHTV's training company with modern kitchen
facilities, you gain experience in organising meetings as well as hosting guests. A selection of the many positions
which will be open to you: general manager, rooms division manager, food & beverage manager, banqueting
manage, quality manager, sales manager or marketing manager in the hospitality industry.

International Real Estate and Facility Management
professional bachelor’s programme - BBA - 3 or 4 years
At NHTV Breda you can pursue the professional bachelor’s programme in Facility Management, which prepares you for an
international career in the facility management industry. You manage the most efficient and safe work environment possible
and become a professional in coordinating all the support services of an organisation. The ‘New Ways of Working’ in an
international environment is a central
theme of this programme. Facility managers are at the heart of organisations like multinationals, hospitals, airports, hotels
and catering, cleaning and security organisations.
10. Logistics
International Logistics and Economics
professional bachelor’s programme - BBA - 3 or 4 years
You will become a logistics specialist with expertise in finding the best, cheapest and fastest way to produce and
distribute products. In the economic programme the emphasis is on Marketing and Sales Management. Graduates of
this economic logistics programme are equipped to fill a range of positions such as purchase manager or project
manager at (inter)national advisory agencies, multinationals, commercial enterprises and production companies.
International Logistics Engineering
professional bachelor’s programme - BSc - 3 or 4 years
You will become a logistics specialist with expertise in ICT, storage, transport and transshipment techniques. In the
engineering programme the emphasis is on ICT-related subjects, like Intelligent Transport Systems. Graduates of
this transport logistics programme are equipped to fill a range of positions such as production planner or distribution
manager at (inter)national transport or production companies, multinationals and commercial enterprises.

After a joint propaedeutic phase you will opt for International Traffic Management or International Spatial
Development.
Built Environment/International Traffic Management
Professional bachelor’s programme - BSc - 3 or 4 years
Various aspects relating to mobility and space will be dealt with in this study programme: behaviour, design, planning
and research. You learn how to design safe roads, manage traffic efficiently, and influence people towards making
clever transport choices. As a graduate, you will become for instance traffic expert, mobility manager or urban
manager in commercial and non-commercial organisations.
Built Environment/International Spatial Development
Professional bachelor’s programme - BSc - 3 or 4 years
Redevelopment of urban or rural spaces is the central theme in this study programme. You learn to make sketches,
scale models and computer drawings, and you learn to assess the sustainable and societal value of applications. As
a graduate, you will become for instance strategic spatial planner, land developer or urban planner in commercial and
non-commercial organisations.
12. Game
International Game Architecture and Design
professional bachelor’s programme - BSc - 4 years
You will become an expert in developing high-quality games, using creative design concepts and graphic design
skills and technology. You can specialise in Programming, Visual Art, Design and Production or (Indie) Game
Development. The heart of the programme is the Game Lab. It is NHTV’s in-house game development studio in
which you work in multidisciplinary groups. After your studies you can climb the career ladder into senior roles like
concept developer, lead designer, lead programmer, art director or producer.
Game Technology
professional master’s programme - MSc - 1 year
This master’s programme teaches you to address and solve the specific problems that characterise the national and
international game industry by exploring the professional and academic fields and by analysing relevant material. The
programme lasts one year and focuses primarily on the technological aspects of the profession. There are two
specialisations: Programming and Visual Art. Courses are taught by professionals from the academic and
commercial arenas. This master’s programme is the first government-funded and accredited professional master’s
programme in the field of games in the Netherlands.
13. Media
International Media and Entertainment Management
professional bachelor’s programme - BBA - 3 or 4 years
You will become an expert in creative concept development, production techniques and the management and
marketing of entertainment products. Depending on your personal interest you will specialise in Marketing,
Production or Content. Throughout your studies, you will work in the mADE Production House, the in-school
multimedia training company. After your studies you can climb the career ladder into senior roles like executive
producer, station manager, marketing manager, media consultant or another management position.
Media Innovation
professional master’s programme - MA - 1 year
This master’s programme has a multidisciplinary perspective. You will learn how to look beyond the surface of digital
media and distinguish crucial digital processes. You will learn how to transform these analytical insights into the
building blocks that are needed to construct tomorrow’s media products. The programme lasts one year. For your
graduation project, you will conceive an original media innovation which you will actually bring into the market. The
staff members have close relations with the industry, which offers you the possibility to get in touch with investors or
stakeholders who may help you bring your innovative concept to reality.

Side Jobs
A job can help you cover the costs, you can get some work experience and it makes
it easier for you to learn the language and meet the Dutch.
Non-EU students: you are allowed to work a maximum of 10 hours a week or full-time during
the summer holidays (June-July-August). However, your employer needs to apply for your work
permit.
EU students: There is no limit placed on the number of hours you are allowed to work. And you
don’t need a work permit.

For Bachelor programmes
You can apply for this programme if you have completed secondary school, Abitur,
Artium, Avgångsbetvg från Gymnasieskolan, COU, Senior High School – A levels or
secondary vocational education.
Additional skills and/or diplomas are required for International Hotel Management,
International Media and Entertainment Management and International Game

As a non-native speaker of English, you must also show sufficient results of one of
these tests:
