WOW Process for HouseHold in a Municipality
NGO as nominated by
WOW enters into an MOU
with the local Municipal
Corporation
NGO Volunteers conduct
household awareness
program for segregation of
waste at source
This is a rigorous exercise
and is followed up several
times. Several events etc
are also organized to
spread the awareness
Waste pickers(PK) go to the
HH and collect the Drywaste
and Wet waste separately
PKs also collect dry-waste
from Small Commercial
establishments
PKs bring and sell the
material to DWCC
franchisee / Operator &
record the collection details
DWCC Operator - Sorting the
dry-waste into 7-8 categories
and sell the categories to
Recyclers(Metal, Glass, PET,
HVP plastic)
Aggregator pick up the other
categories ( Paper, LVP)
material from DWCCs
Collected material is further
Sorted and baled in their
facility center
Baled material of Paper is
sent to the paper companies
and LVP is sent to Cement
Companies
Paper Companies and
Cement companies accept
the material as per quality
norms.

administration management
of the corporate and chalk
out appointment for
conducting the awareness
program for the employees
Volunteers conduct the
awareness program for the
management staff making
them aware of their
responsibility for source
segregation
Volunteers conduct the
awareness program for the
facilities staff also as they are
the key stakeholders for the
program
Corporates are assessed on
the quantum of paper waste
being generated and based
on that MOU is signed
Logistics service providers
are appointed for collection
of the paper waste from the
