Advanced control scheme of doubly fed induction generator for wind turbine us...IJECEIAES
This paper describes a speed control device for generating electrical energy on an electricity network based on the doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) used for wind power conversion systems. At first, a double-fed induction generator model was constructed. A control law is formulated to govern the flow of energy between the stator of a DFIG and the energy network using three types of controllers: proportional integral (PI), sliding mode controller (SMC) and second order sliding mode controller (SOSMC). Their different results in terms of power reference tracking, reaction to unexpected speed fluctuations, sensitivity to perturbations, and resilience against machine parameter alterations are compared. MATLAB/Simulink was used to conduct the simulations for the preceding study. Multiple simulations have shown very satisfying results, and the investigations demonstrate the efficacy and power-enhancing capabilities of the suggested control system.

Harnessing WebAssembly for Real-time Stateless Streaming PipelinesChristina Lin
Traditionally, dealing with real-time data pipelines has involved significant overhead, even for straightforward tasks like data transformation or masking. However, in this talk, we’ll venture into the dynamic realm of WebAssembly (WASM) and discover how it can revolutionize the creation of stateless streaming pipelines within a Kafka (Redpanda) broker. These pipelines are adept at managing low-latency, high-data-volume scenarios.
A review on techniques and modelling methodologies used for checking electrom...nooriasukmaningtyas
The proper function of the integrated circuit (IC) in an inhibiting electromagnetic environment has always been a serious concern throughout the decades of revolution in the world of electronics, from disjunct devices to today’s integrated circuit technology, where billions of transistors are combined on a single chip. The automotive industry and smart vehicles in particular, are confronting design issues such as being prone to electromagnetic interference (EMI). Electronic control devices calculate incorrect outputs because of EMI and sensors give misleading values which can prove fatal in case of automotives. In this paper, the authors have non exhaustively tried to review research work concerned with the investigation of EMI in ICs and prediction of this EMI using various modelling methodologies and measurement setups.
Low power architecture of logic gates using adiabatic techniquesnooriasukmaningtyas
The growing significance of portable systems to limit power consumption in ultra-large-scale-integration chips of very high density, has recently led to rapid and inventive progresses in low-power design. The most effective technique is adiabatic logic circuit design in energy-efficient hardware. This paper presents two adiabatic approaches for the design of low power circuits, modified positive feedback adiabatic logic (modified PFAL) and the other is direct current diode based positive feedback adiabatic logic (DC-DB PFAL). Logic gates are the preliminary components in any digital circuit design. By improving the performance of basic gates, one can improvise the whole system performance. In this paper proposed circuit design of the low power architecture of OR/NOR, AND/NAND, and XOR/XNOR gates are presented using the said approaches and their results are analyzed for powerdissipation, delay, power-delay-product and rise time and compared with the other adiabatic techniques along with the conventional complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) designs reported in the literature. It has been found that the designs with DC-DB PFAL technique outperform with the percentage improvement of 65% for NOR gate and 7% for NAND gate and 34% for XNOR gate over the modified PFAL techniques at 10 MHz respectively.

7. TÜV SÜD Industrie Service GmbH
Goal of performing the audit by ZLS was to control, if we fulfill all our duties
and tasks which are necessary for maintaining a recognition as Notified Body
under PED
The Results of the audit performed by ZLS on 29th April, 2011 are especially
with respect to certification of welders and welding procedures as follow:
The auditor pointed out that we don’t exercise all duties and tasks which we
should exercise as “Notified and Central Certification Body” in Munich.
Our used approach of documentation is suboptimal. The documentation is mainly
managed on a decentralised basis therefore we aren’t able in some cases to have
an overview from Munich, which certificates were issued worldwide by our
colleagues of the subsidiaries.
In some cases the inspectors working within the framework of PED especially
relating to welding issues weren’t designated as auditor by the head of Notified
Body.

Results of ZLS Audit
8. TÜV SÜD Industrie Service GmbH
To come through the next audit without major problems especially with
respect to certification of welding companies, welders and welding
procedures we have to take action as follow:
Demonstrate the auditor next time that meanwhile we will exercise all essential
duties and tasks as Notified Body under PED.
Revise of existing work instructions and issue of new ones in some cases also
which describe the uniform approach to certification (e.g. of Welders, Welding
Procedures, HP0, EN ISO 3834)
Try to manage the documentation of certification more on a centralised basis
using new possibilities. E.g. listing of issued welder certificates in a databank
(ITAS) by the new version of the program „worldweld“ and make these available
worldwide.
Designate all auditors working within the framework of PED by the Head of
Notified Body and entry the auditors in the “Qualification Matrix” of the Business
Unit “Steam and Pressure”.
No Certificate shall be issued and no inspection shall be performed by an
auditor who isn’t considered in the “Qualification Matrix”!

Manufacturing under CPD and in accordance with harmonized standards
(e.g. EN 13445) or with AD 2000 standard means that the manufacturer has
to demonstrate his ability to produce products which fulfill all requirements
of the above mentioned standards.
Harmonized standards and AD 2000 refer with respect of welding issues to EN
ISO 3834 which specifies quality requirements for fusion welding of metallic
materials
Assessment for welding companies acc. to EN ISO 3834 is only mandatory
if required by the relevant product standards (e.g. EN 1090, EN 12732, EN
12952, EN 13445 or EN 15085) or if required by the client when it was fixed
in the contract documents.
TÜV SÜD IS carries out approvals acc. to AD 2000 HP0 and EN ISO 3834
(Often combined approvals AD 2000 HP0/ EN ISO 3834 can be offered)
Besides TÜV SÜD IS carries out approvals acc. to AD 2000 W0 similarly to
the above mentioned approvals.

Question:
Do PQRs and WPQs performed acc. to ASME Sec. IX
fulfill the requirements acc. to PED?
Requirements according to PED, Annex I, paragraph 3.1.2:
“[…] For pressure equipment in categories II, III and IV, operating procedures
and personnel must be approved by a competent third party which, at
the manufacturer's discretion, may be:
— a notified body,
— a third-party organization recognized by a Member State as provided
for in Article 13.
To carry out these approvals the third party must perform examinations
and tests as set out in the appropriate harmonized standards or equivalent
examinations and tests or must have them performed.”
