David W. Deeds' presentation for the 2016 Serious Play Conference. "Edtech Evangelist: Converting the Unbelievers" covers just a few of his experiences trying to introduce Games-Based Learning (GBL) into higher education and K-12 institutions. Also includes useful lessons learned for advocating not just Games-Based Learning in particular but 21st century technology integration in general.
The 2010 customer experience impact report cited that 82% of consumers have stopped doing business with
a company as a result of a negative experience. What is different from years past is that
companies now understand this phenomenon and have seen the impact that a negative
experience can have on its reputation and bottom line (heard of “United Breaks
Guitars” anyone?). Companies invest in customer service to avoid bad experiences, but
what is the impact of a positive one?
The 2010 Customer Experience Impact Report, commissioned by RightNow and
conducted by Harris Interactive®, unveiled some significant results on how much
consumers are willing to spend to ensure a superior customer experience and the
overall influence customer experience has on a company’s top and bottom line.

An experience always exists and always generates an impression, but seldom by design. Silo'd approaches result in fragmented experiences and dissatisfied customers. No wonder only 8% of customers report their experience with a given company was superior.
How can we craft a cross-silo content strategy designed to deliver a superior, holistic, customer experience across all customer touchpoints and all stages of the customer lifecycle?

10 Insightful Quotes On Designing A Better Customer ExperienceYuan Wang
In an ever-changing landscape of one digital disruption after another, companies and organisations are looking for new ways to understand their target markets and engage them better. Increasingly they invest in user experience (UX) and customer experience design (CX) capabilities by working with a specialist UX agency or developing their own UX lab. Some UX practitioners are touting leaner and faster ways of developing customer-centric products and services, via methodologies such as guerilla research, rapid prototyping and Agile UX. Others seek innovation and fulfilment by spending more time in research, being more inclusive, and designing for social goods.
Experience is more than just an interface. It is a relationship, as well as a series of touch points between your brand and your customer. Here are our top 10 highlights and takeaways from the recent UX Australia conference to help you transform your customer experience design.

Securing your Kubernetes cluster_ a step-by-step guide to success !KatiaHIMEUR1
Today, after several years of existence, an extremely active community and an ultra-dynamic ecosystem, Kubernetes has established itself as the de facto standard in container orchestration. Thanks to a wide range of managed services, it has never been so easy to set up a ready-to-use Kubernetes cluster.
However, this ease of use means that the subject of security in Kubernetes is often left for later, or even neglected. This exposes companies to significant risks.
In this talk, I'll show you step-by-step how to secure your Kubernetes cluster for greater peace of mind and reliability.

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).
Speakers:
Bob Boule
Robert Boule is a technology enthusiast with PASSION for technology and making things work along with a knack for helping others understand how things work. He comes with around 20 years of solution engineering experience in application security, software continuous delivery, and SaaS platforms. He is known for his dynamic presentations in CI/CD and application security integrated in software delivery lifecycle.

Gopi also has a strong connection with our customers, leading design and architecture for strategic implementations. Gopi is a frequent speaker and well-known leader in continuous delivery and integrating security into software delivery.
