The Iranian nuclear program continues to advance at a concerning rate. International efforts to curb Iran's nuclear activities through pressure and engagement have failed. Iran has installed almost 700 advanced IR-2m centrifuges that can produce nuclear material several times faster than older centrifuges. It also added nearly 900 first-generation centrifuges. The IAEA continues to find evidence that Iran conducted nuclear weapons-related activities after 2003. There are increasing risks that Iran could produce nuclear weapons fuel undetected or on a timeline that would prevent successful intervention.
