This document proposes a model for sustainable urban development in India to address growing issues around population growth, infrastructure gaps, and ineffective current systems. The key issues highlighted include shortfalls in water, sewage, housing, and transportation infrastructure. The proposed model has three pillars - government, private organizations, and public. The government would focus on policy and planning while private organizations would execute projects and be accountable to timelines. The public would monitor project developments, finances, and performance through an online portal to approve private work before payment. This is aimed to improve accountability, transparency, and end user satisfaction compared to current systems.
