From Windows 1 to Windows 10, Microsoft has released several versions of the Windows operating system over the past few decades. Windows 1 was the first attempt at a graphical user interface and included a game to get users accustomed to using a mouse. Windows 3 was a major success and introduced Solitaire. Windows 95 brought the Start button and menu and helped popularize the internet with Internet Explorer. Windows 10 aimed to balance the needs of both desktop and tablet users.

3. Windows 1
The first version of Windows.

became the basis for Windows XP.
9. Windows XP
Windows XP was released in October 2001 and brought Microsoft’s enterprise

10. Windows 7
