5. What is sound
Mechanical pressure waves that travel through physical medium are called waves.
Examples for physical mediums include air, water, bricks.
And cannot travel through the universe or vacuum.
Sound has the properties called frequency, speed, amplitude, duration, wave
length
6. A sound wave Picture illustrating the rare
fractions and compressions
9. What is a Trough and what is a crest in a
sound wave graph
10. 2.What is pitch
Specific frequency of sound produced by vibrating object.
For example guitar or violin strings.
Musically a pitch is like the harmonic value of a note and it is said to be higher or
lower than other pitches.
For Example G5 note has a higher pitch than the C5.

If two notes have the same pitch even though the rhythmic values varies, then they
are the same note.
For example if we press and hold the note C for 1 second and if we press and hold
the same note for 2 seconds, we’ve played the same note.
13. 4. What is Timbre
Timbre is like sound colour or sound quality that comes from different instruments.
 For example,
1. C note played on the piano
2. C note played on the guitar
