 INTRODUCTIION TO INPUT AND OUTPUT
Memory - holds instructions and most of the data for currently executing
programs.
 Input - external devices such as keyboards, mice, disks, and networks that
provide input to the processor.
 Output - external devices such as displays, printers, disks, and networks
that receive data from the processor.
 MONITOR :
The Monitor is a TV-like device. It displays
the results of your work on its screen.
The screen is called display screen. Now
LCDs are also available in the market for
same purpose
 CASE:
A computer case, also
known as a computer
chassis, is the
enclosure that
contains most of the
components of a
personal
computer (usually
excluding the display,
keyboard, and mouse).
MIC:
A microphone,
colloquially called a mic
or mike (/mark/), is a
transducer that converts
sound into an electrical
signal.
 MOUSE
The Mouse is an input device
that controls the movement of
the cursor or pointer on a
display screen and performs
other functions include
selecting files, opening
menus, etc.
KEYBOARD:
The Keyboard is manually
operated input device for
alphanumeric data, and providing
other instructions.
 SPEAKERS:
Speakers are devices that
provide output in the form
of sounds. They enable the
user to listen to music,
speech, or any other
sounds.
