Demand for an affordable Edge HPC platform is increasing by 25% each year
and currently there is none available.
MobilFlex’ PDC – Personal Data Center is the first and only Edge HPC that is affordable
to all budgets, starting at $1,500, like a Mac PC.
PDC, a modern version of once successful mini-systems (IBM AS400, Sun Micro, Tandem, etc.)
enables the proliferation and mass adoption of Edge Computing and all its verticals (IOT, IIOT,
Smart xyz, Edge AI, Self-Driving).
PDC is made possible by proprietary LOT - LAN of Things Accelerators and Chipsets,
that make currently flat and inefficient x86 architecture a micro-mainframe, with 3x+ more
processing capability and no more I/O limitations or bottlenecks
MobilFlex = New Sun Microsystems for Edge Computing in the post Moore’s Law era;
What we do – In a nutshell Making the PC a PDC
LAN
1. The Compute Gap.
The PC “as is” is not powerful enough for the modern
applications of Edge Computing and there is no practical
replacement that is powerful enough, yet affordable to all.
• This is a major inhibitor for the proliferation and mass adoption
of IOT, Edge AI, Smart xyz, and all Edge Computing verticals.
• “Edge Computing needs a new product category” – HPE;
2. Lack of infrastructure on the last 30 yards
IOT and other applications require multiple, concurrent
M2M transactions, which x86 architecture does not allow.
• Before can have an IOT we have to have an LOT – LAN of
Things that unifies local sub-networks and “things” allowing
multiple, concurrent M2M intercommunication and interaction;

The Compute Gap
The Moore’s Law is not working anymore while the data generation
continues to explode.
This creates a growing “compute gap”
Up to 90% of data remains unprocessed
Massive investments in “hardware accelerators” , Risc-V, etc. only patch the “compute gap”

State of Edge - IOT
There are 630+ IOT
platforms and none of
them provides Stage 3 &
4 local processing
Before we can have an IOT we
have to have an LOT – LAN of
Things that completes the
infrastructure on last 30 yards
• LOT unifies all sub-networks and
“things” in and around the house
and allows multiple M2M direct
interoperability between any
connected devices
LOT - LAN of Things Accelerators and Chipsets
1. Complete the infrastructure on the last thirty yards – LAN of Things;
2. Make currently flat and inefficient x86 architecture a micro-mainframe
with 3x+ more processing capability, at the same systems BOM cost;

2. Makes currently flat and inefficient x86 a vertically layered
architecture w/ high degree of concurrency, flexibility, scalability
• Up to 80% more compute capability by increasing CPU utilization (from under 50%) to
90%+, like mainframes – a first;
3. Provides instant access to local resources and “Personal Cloud”
functionality, like any Data Center, only for a small group of users;
• Enables IOT Stage 3 & 4 “local processing” and Level 4 & 5 “self-driving” – a first;
• Enable “cloud independence” for Edge AI, makes TinyML Devices smarter – a first;
• Allows access from any BYOD, from anywhere, like sitting in front of thr CRT – a first;
• Enables “conversational system” and “computational storage” functionality – a first;

Making the PC a PDC
Building a system is a complex task that
requires many skillsets and large effort
that nobody (not even Cisco) can do it alone
• MobilFlex, as the architect and general contractor
will provide all the architecture and functional
specifications for “bare metal h/w systems” to be
executed by 3rd party contractors and partners;
• Long lists of qualified and interested 3rd parties, with
experience in each and every area of the system
software stack and semiconducors engineering.
• Like the PC it replaces, PDC offers endless opportunities
to a wide variety of companies to write applicaions and
significantly increase their revenue and lead the
proliferation and mass adoption Edge Computing;
Help Wanted - Partnership opportunities Making the PC a PDC
Traction: No sales or customers but huge interest
While we have no sales or customers to report, there are clear signs and indications that
PDC is the “right” product that many are waiting for:
• 800+ CTOs expressed their interest in a PDC prototype when available;
• 350+ Developers want to write applications for PDC;
• HP CTO recommended MobilFlex to a client in Germany working with auto makers for a
self-driving system (implying that MobilFlex promises to deliver what HP cannot
presently deliver, although it is needed);
Additional factors to consider:
• My LinkedIn connections grew from about 250 to 2850+ since MobilFlex published;
• Corporate VCs (Hynix, Micron) are interested when past Seed Phase;
• Arm, MSFT, Google, Xilinx, Nvidia included us in their “startups program”;
• NSF-SBIR, HAX invited us to apply, rejected us for lack of details, or solopreneur;

“LAN of Things” Chipset
LAN of Things
Chipset
Replaces South Bridge & Connectivity
• Most beneficial but also the most complex implementation.
Offers all features and benefits of Co-Processor use case, plus:
• Up to 95%+ CPU utilization (80%+ increase);
• 3x++ overall processing capability at same BOM cost;
• Personal Cloud for 10 - 20 users;
• Allows most meaningful differentiation to systems integrators;
• Vastly superior machine at the same price as a Mac PC, starting
at $1,500;
Making the PC a PDC
“LAN of Things” as Connectivity Layer
LAN of Things
Using LOT as Connectivity Layer is the most practical
implementation.
• It allows all the performance improvements to be
implemented, like as a Chipset, without having to
replicate the Chipset functionality (of course, with some
$200 BOM cost penalty);
• Ideal for IOT and Computational Storage use cases;
• Our first-choice use case for the POC – Proof of
Concept requested by investors;
• Important: With proper software support, this
implementation can be designed and packaged as
standalone product to be used in existing systems;
