This document outlines the coursework task for a media studies class to produce the front page, contents page, and a double page spread for a new music magazine. The task requires that all images and text be original work by the candidate and include a minimum of 4 images. In annotating example magazines, the candidate notes liking their genre focus on chart music and dance/pop, the variety of designs while maintaining basic magazine style and photo types used, and unique cover designs that still keep consistent mastheads and basic designs.

2. I like the style of these magazines, because it is the type of genre and style of music that I usually listen to – this
being general chart music and dance/pop music. I like how each design is different but still shows the basic design
of the magazine, and the different types of photos taken.

3. On these magazines I like the unique styling and types of photos taken, and I like the
different designs for the front covers.

4. Again, I like how each magazine cover is different yet the masthead and basic design
stays the same. I like the variety of photo shot types taken and the colours put together.

5. In some of these contents pages I like the simplistic styles and use of colouring to make
it stand out.
