Q) IN WHAT WAYS DOES YOUR MEDIA
PRODUCT USE, DEVELOP OR CHALLENGE
FORMS AND CONVENTIONS OF REAL
MEDIA PRODUCT?
To design my magazine I conducted a
research on various music magazines to
give get an idea about how things work.
I took some of the conventions of other
magazines and put them in my own. My
magazine is Beats in which two models
are posing in a natural surrounding. I
have made my magazine is a bit
divergent from the other magazine.
Front Cover Page.
This is the Front cover of the music
magazine that have I created. I
have took a natural background
for the cover because it looks
more elegant in this ways and I
think it would create more
audience by my cover photo. In
my opinion the main aspect of
the magazine is the front cover
page because if the front cover is
well made then the audience
would definitely pay attention
towards the magazine because
front cover photo is the major
part of the magazine.
I have used some props as well in my
music magazine front cover page. There
are guitar, shades and headphones and
secondly I have used formal dressing for
the models because my Genre is “POP”
and I have made my magazine name
“Beats” a bit classy and stylish so it can
attract the audience to it.
Contents Page
This is the contents page of my
magazine. This page holds a lot of
significance because it lets the
reader know what there is in the
magazine.
Which is why I have paid a lot of
attention to what goes into the
contents page of my music
magazine. Consulting various
examples of such magazines such as
Billboard, Rolling Stones, Vibe etc. I
used, developed and challenged
various codes and conventions of a
music magazine.
Double Spread Page.
Double Spread
page is the most
vital part of the
magazine. This
element of the
magazine is really
important it
features and bring
the main attraction
to the magazine. It
shows that how a
magazine is being
high lightened.
