Nicole Kulaga is introducing herself. She is a senior English major at SUNY New Paltz who has interned in fashion journalism. She enjoys exercising, acrobatic yoga, and her two dogs. Kulaga has studied abroad in London and has traveled throughout Europe and the US. She struggled with Shakespeare in high school but came to appreciate his work after taking college courses. One of her favorite novels is The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky. Robert Frost is also one of her favorite authors whose poems continue to inspire her.

2. About me
Hello! My name is Nicole Kulaga and I am a senior
at SUNY New Paltz. I’m an English major and I
have spent the past year interning as a fashion
journalist with Chaos Magazine. I am currently
applying to law schools in New York and hope to
one day work in fashion copyright law. In my
spare time, I enjoy exercising, doing acrobatic
yoga and playing with my two dogs. I am a first
generation American who comes from a large
Polish family. Two years ago, I studied abroad in
one of my favorite cities, London. My terrible
case of wanderlust has brought me to many
countries throughout Europe and many states
across the US. I have taken a winter class before
and I look forward to taking this course!

3. William Shakespeare
In High School, I struggled with
Shakespeare, but after taking courses on his
material in New Paltz, I began to truly
appreciate his work. A year ago, I had to
complete a project where I performed one
of his sonnets. I spent countless hours
researching his sonnets and fell in love with
his work. He has now become one of my
favorite authors.

4. Stephen Chbosky
One of my favorite novels of all time is,
Perks of Being a Wallflower. Years ago,
my cousin suggested I read Chbosky’s
work and over a winter break I read
this novel. My favorite pieces of
literature are able to make me think
and allow me to feel empathy for
characters. This is one novel that I can
read time and time again and still
thoroughly enjoy.

5. Robert Frost has always been a favorite of mine. I began reading his work in high
school and have continued to love his poems. What I love about Frost is that I can
read his work time and time again and still find new ways to be inspired.
