I went to Kota tua on Saturday with my
friends, we went there at 09.00 am o’clock.
From UKI it will takes around 2 hours.
before I interviewed a foreigner I prepared
some questions for foreigner, we arrived at
11.00am o’clock at Kota Tua. We went to
there by transjakarta bus.
After we had arrived in there I started to
look for foreigner.
All of sudden, I saw a foreigner who was
walking around in Kota Tua, I did approach
him. I said “ excusme sir, do you have time “
but he refused me and he said “ I’m sorry I
can’t ” and I left him without saying “thank
you”, because I dissapointed by him. Finally
we decided to enter fatahila’s museum. In
the museum we saw many historycal items.
Suddenly, I saw foreinger who was looking at
statue of fatahilah, and I tried to approach
him.

Is it your first time to come to Indonesia?
What do you think about Jakarta?
What do you think about transportation in
Jakarta?
Where do you stay in Jakarta?
What is your hobby?
What football club do you like?
Finding
Thomas and his wife were humble and nice
people.They
wanted
to
answer
my
questions, and to become my participants .
Although, my grammar was bad, he could
understand what I meant. They were good
foreigners who I have met in there.
Actually, I was affraid if I had to make
conversation with foreigner. I found some
difficult conversation in English such as I
couldn’t speak fluently and my grammar was
bad.
In conclusion, from this project I got a new
experience and some knowledge.
By interviewing foreigner, I could improve
my speaking English skill,on the other hand I
could make myself be more confident and I
wouldn’t be afraid to speak with foreigner in
English.
