To support SMEs to grow in regional, national and innovation markets
and to engage in innovation process
To improve the transnational innovation capacity of the business sector
by designing and applying an open-innovation, transnational
approach
3. Main project outcomes
Two main instruments are foreseen:
A transnational living lab (5 countries) with local branches
• Open innovation
• User-centric, bottom-up co-design/co-creation
• Enable different actors/stakeholders/users/communities (from the whole area) in the value
creation
• Needs and solutions identifications for SMEs but also for the benefit of the
users/communities/society
• New products and services to be derived

• Support research-industry collaboration
• Help SMEs innovate by solving specific research problems (in a transnational environment)
• Show the path for research/academia – industry collaborations

• Develops higher education–companies partnerships to promote entrepreneurial
education
• Develops an integrated model of entrepreneurship skills acquisition that
includes different levels of learning, using online serious game
• Trains higher education teachers and companies’ trainers to organise
entrepreneurial learning for students participating in internships
• Fosters the acquisition of entrepreneurial mind-set and skills of higher education
students involved in internships
• Builds a community of practice involving the higher education and business
