This document summarizes intercultural adaptation experiences. It introduces a team of masters students studying in China and discusses intercultural adaptation as adjusting to a new culture. It presents models of the U-curve and W-curve patterns of adaptation. Specific experiences adjusting to life in China are shared, including differences in meal times, using chopsticks, available foods, internet/apps, and challenges with the Chinese language. The presentation provides insights into cultural adjustments for foreigners living in China.
