Henry Cobbs proposes a new digital transit currency called GOTHAM for New York City. It would replace the Metrocard with a mobile app and card that works across all forms of NYC transit. The app would allow users to monitor and manage their account, pay for rides, get directions and report emergencies. New iPad kiosks and NFC-enabled turnstiles would make purchasing and using transit more convenient. Partnerships could extend the currency's use to retailers, helping transform public transit payments into a universal account for all transportation and shopping needs in NYC. Similar digital programs in Hong Kong, London and Chicago provide examples of this concept's success.

Social media allows people to curate idealized online personas that do not reflect their true selves, leading to social isolation despite being constantly connected. By focusing on cultivating online profiles, people sacrifice real face-to-face interactions and conversation. Excessive social media use and constant phone checking prevents people from fully engaging with present experiences and relationships, instead keeping them in their own "bubbles". This trend is making people unhappy and negatively impacting their relationships offline.

Behavioural targeting allows advertisers to personalize ads for consumers based on their online behavior and browsing history. While this provides benefits for companies in targeting high-value customers, it also raises privacy concerns among many users who feel their online activities are excessively tracked. There is no consensus on whether behavioral targeting is ethical, but companies could improve perceptions by increasing transparency around their data collection and use and giving users more control over their personal information.

Video content analysis and video analytics are other terms for intelligent video. It analyses video surveillance feeds automatically and extracts vital data, such as the detection of an intruder in photographs. Intelligent Video is commonly used for video motion detection, video pattern matching, and auto-tracking. Surveillance cameras are increasingly being used by security organizations to keep a close eye on the surrounding environment 24 hours a day, seven days a week. IP technology enables the creation of an open, trustworthy, and scalable surveillance system. While the amount of video data available grows, a person can only see a limited amount of it. People are notorious for losing concentration quickly, and suspicious gestures on the screen are frequently ignored. Intelligent video monitors around the clock, seven days a week, and improves monitoring accuracy and efficacy. Here's another application for Intelligent Video. It transforms video data into a gold mine for business requirements. The camera captures customer behavior and provides critical data for marketing, retail operations, building layout design, traffic patterns, and other activities. Going through hours of video from a dozen cameras was a difficult, labor-intensive, and time-consuming operation. The intelligent video quickly analyses large amounts of video data. Intelligent video is undoubtedly useful for monitoring and a variety of corporate tasks, but it is costly and difficult to implement because it necessitates high-performance computers and specialized software.
