This document describes a zero-knowledge COVID-19 notification system called Merkle Tree Tracker. It uses low-resolution GPS data along with a public key to notify users of potential exposure without compromising privacy. Location data is hashed and stored in a Merkle tree to further protect privacy. The system is built on AWS IoT and is scalable from day one. It aims to increase contact tracing usage while respecting privacy.

- The shop owners would register online for a QR code that would be
placed in front of their shop.
- Customers would use their mobile phone to scan the code as they enter
and leave the premises.
- Shopping centres will use the application when they open their rest
areas, in addition to their already opened supermarkets and electrical
appliance sales.
- The application will tell customers if their targeted shop is still vacant
enough to welcome them.
