In 2008/09 Inpress generated a total of £121,104 in trade and web sales for its publishers. The company sold 164 new titles to the trade (up on 148 in the previous year). We generated £98k in sales for our publishers. To bring you a little more up to date, looking at sales figures for Dec 08 to Aug 09 (paid in months April 09 to Dec 09), we are currently 13% up on last year, with a total sales of £78k. £71k of this money has already been paid back to you. We are currently working with 40 of the UK’s most exciting and dynamic independent publishers.

Inpress Reviewers scheme set up; Inpress Reader-in-Residence We have hired Yvette Hawkins, a well-read blogger based in Newcastle, to be our reader-in-residence for six months. New blogs by Inpress authors Mike Wilson (Smokestack), Kelley Swain and Josephine Dickinson (Flambard), Jayne Joso (Alcemi) – among others. If you looked at the blog today, you would find flash fiction by Chris Keil (Alcemi) and AJ Duggan (Flambard) plus a topical piece by James Hogg on Borders. And all of these have been uploaded in the past 5 days. In order to keep the blog fresh and interesting, we need your authors! Bookseller ran a full page feature on the new direction of the company and we also received press coverage in the NALD and IPG newsletters.
