This session will provide an overview of the technology planning process
for legal aid programs and state legal aid networks. It will include
information on conducting technology assessments, managing the planning
process, and harmonizing programmatic and statewide technology

This document discusses various alternative dispute resolution methods for resolving a legal dispute with an employer, including their advantages and disadvantages. It analyzes negotiation, mediation, conciliation, arbitration, and tribunals. While litigation provides certainty and precedent, ADR methods are generally faster and less expensive, maintain ongoing relationships, and have a higher satisfaction rate. For a first offense that caused minor loss, an ADR method like mediation would likely be most suitable to resolve the dispute fairly without severely damaging the employment relationship.

Online Dispute Resolution
For the past few years British Columbia has been working on the Civil Resolution Tribunal, an online tribunal dedicated to help resolve small claims(<$5000) and condominium disputes. Now two people that have worked in depth on the project, Darin Thompson and james Anderson, share more information about their project.
Supporting Mobile Pro Bono Attorneys
Changing trends in the nature of pro bono work, user expectations, and adoption of mobile devices are driving the need to rethink what types of recruitment tools and substantive resources are most effective for volunteers. At the same time, technology is allowing legal aid programs to provide more comprehensive support to volunteer attorneys in “on the go” settings such as clinics, outreach settings, and in court. In 2017, several new LSC-funded initiatives will launch in response to these trends and opportunities.

Intro to Data Analysis Framework
