Type of work: Research and Design
Date: April 1st- June 20th
Audience targeted: Communications employees
Strategy: To produce an infographic detailing pitfalls of a bad
piece of copy and what makes a great piece of copy
Objective: To understand what makes a bad and a great article/
email and display this in a way that is easy to understand
Involvement: To carry out background research and come up
with ideas for the infographic
Tactics:
 To leverage information gathered in the internal data analytics meeting
 To research what makes a good article, if images make a difference to
the read rate, how to get people to read your whole email/ article, how
to engage with your audience and if we are going about this the right
way
 To research what makes a good infographic and come up with ideas as
to how this could look
 To work with the GSK design team to put together a design idea
 Answering questions posed to me at the beginning of the project; what
passes the ‘so what’ test? How important is getting to the point quickly?
Are headlines and short copy important? Do good quality images make
a difference? How can we generate conversations? When is the
optimum time to send out an email/ article
Evaluation: This project is still ongoing but the initial stages are
looking very good.
Reflection: I really enjoyed this project because it allowed me to
be creative and try out new things. It also gave me the chance to
put my research skills to use in a proactive and engaging way
