Two cars collide in an inelastic collision where they become entangled. An inelastic collision is where objects stick together after impact. The total momentum before the collision equals the total momentum after. A 1850 kg sedan is stopped when hit from behind by a 975 kg compact car going 22.0 m/s north. The problem is to calculate the velocity of the entangled mass after the collision.
