environments and change them.

 Telecommunication market will be changed in the coming

 Mobile telecom operators will be most exposed to these
changes.
 Vision 2020 in ICT is main base for Industry 4.0 era.
 Those changes will be based onVision 2020 in ICT segment:
 5G mobile networks;
 Internet ofThings;
 Industrial Internet ofThings;
 OverTheTop (OTT) Applications;
 Artificial Intelligence (AI);
 Cloud Services
 and many other items.
 These changes will bring new approaches for creating

 Communication of these components is essential
for improving the process and usage of the system’s
products and services.
 A critical element for supporting the marketing of future
smart services and products is the seamless collection of
manufacturing data and rapid feed of information to
management for effective decision-making.

energy and natural resources.
 If it is done inefficiently: risk the long-term value and
future of a business.
 The global connectivity creates business avenues that
cannot be matched by traditional commercial channels
and some preparation is necessary.

learning for students and for experts.
 Such new flexible digital learning systems has to
prepare employees for the highly digital

  • 3. Introduction Fourth Industrial Revolution or Industry 4.0. Companies from ICT business segment in this new market will have crucial roles in this new industrial period. This article provides insights how Industry 4.0. will impact to business environments and change them.
  • 4. Mobile telecom operators in Industry 4.0 era  Telecommunication market will be changed in the coming years.  Mobile telecom operators will be most exposed to these changes.  Vision 2020 in ICT is main base for Industry 4.0 era.  Those changes will be based onVision 2020 in ICT segment:  5G mobile networks;  Internet ofThings;  Industrial Internet ofThings;  OverTheTop (OTT) Applications;  Artificial Intelligence (AI);  Cloud Services  and many other items.  These changes will bring new approaches for creating telecommunication smart products and services.
  • 5. Mobile telecom operators in Industry 4.0 era  Internet ofThings (IoT) will provide opportunities for offering the biggest revenue opportunity - specially at the beginning of this new era (next slide - slide 6).  Telecom operators will have to acquire companies to succeed in the IoT space (slide 7).  They also felt that the biggest challenges to the success for their IoT businesses included the following (according to survey, European Communications magazineQ1, 2017):  Developing the right business models: 32,5%,  Creating new services: 25%  Developing the right partnerships: 17,5%,  Security: 10%,  Personal issues / lack of skills: 5%,  Technology issue: 5%,  Lack of scale: 2,5%,  Other: 2,5%.
  • 8. Progressing towards Industry 4.0.  Industry 4.0 progress necessitates a direction toward connecting future products and services.  Industry 4.0 will bring to all of us:  innovative smart services  add value to the firms  development appreciation;  resource efficient production and logistics;  convergent supply infrastructures  and integration of smart components.  Communication of these components is essential for improving the process and usage of the system’s products and services.  A critical element for supporting the marketing of future smart services and products is the seamless collection of manufacturing data and rapid feed of information to management for effective decision-making.
  • 9. System preparedness  Preparing the business environment: management of energy and natural resources.  If it is done inefficiently: risk the long-term value and future of a business.  The global connectivity creates business avenues that cannot be matched by traditional commercial channels and some preparation is necessary.  Market knowledge for local operating capability and intensive distribution:  recognising local regulatory requirements,  business practices,  negotiating styles,  and cultural norms in preparing the business to delivery “smart” services.
  • 10. Managing manufacturing marketing flow  Manufacturing flow determines the obligatory infrastructure to accomplish the customers’ needs with accommodation for the marketing functions, logistics, core process, and its interfaces.  The innovator develops key elements of the value chain:  customer demand management information though the following processes: forecasting,  synchronizing and service management;  and by reevaluating, reorganizing and reengineering the process as continuous options with no disruptions in the product flow .  This infrastructure would include planning and technical development segments; materials and procurement process; production and manufacturing; and finally, warehousing and logistics.
  • 11. Competences in the Industry 4.0  Companies which operating in the Industry 4.0 era require specific resources and competences at different levels.  Top managers and technical experts must have the insight to understand the dynamics of market development and to recognize opportunities through intense activity of scanning and monitoring of changes.  Radical innovations/changes in existing and new ones, through new strategic concepts.  CREATIVITY – one of the most important items!!!
  • 13. Industry 4.0 in education  New era will require highly skilled professionals in science, engineering and technology.  Higher education and training institutions: upgraded and new programmes to outfit the eminent Industry 4.0. jobs.  Transformation in the education sector.  Computers and artificial intelligence have already forayed into the education sector to improve learning for students and for experts.  Such new flexible digital learning systems has to prepare employees for the highly digital environment in Industry 4.0.
  • 14. Industry 4.0 ecosystem  The Industry 4.0 ecosystem will have more interactions among people, machines, and digital technologies.  IIoT for manufacturing will support the changeover to self-managed manufacturing competencies.  Interoperability supplements the determination of IIoT solutions springing from Industry 4.0 and evolving into a smart ecosystem as shown in following slide.
  • 16. Industry 4.0 ecosystem Industry 4.0 is interlinked with data and communication technologies to build smart products in a factory. For example, various techniques such as 3D Printing, andVirtual and Augmented Reality will provide customization and need satisfactions for customers in the market This information process impacts on the manufacturing process and helps to build smarter products and services.
  • 17. Conclusion  The emerging Industry 4.0 ecosystem - business opportunities in meeting customer needs.  More dynamic interactions among people, machines, and digital technologies.  Companies: develop and capitalize on dynamic capabilities - learning about and from customers through customer relationships.  Higher education and training institutions will need to offer upgraded and new programmes for highly skilled professionals.  These proactive strategies would allow Industry 4.0. future smart products, services, and employment opportunities for everyone.
