• The green leaf that is received in the factory has a moisture of 80%-85%
• The moisture is reduced to around 70% though withering
• For withering ambient air is used. Hot air is used if the leaf is wet.
• After withering the leaf is passed through a green leaf SIFTER then through a
MINIRATOR and ROTERVANE for pre -conditioning the leaf for cutting.
• In the CTC process the CTC rollers crush, tear and curl the leaf
• Then the leaf goes into a fermenting drum where the leaf is kept for 90-120 minutes and the
leaf gets fermented.
• The fermentation time depends on the quality of leaf and the weather condition
7. •The leaf then goes into a dryer where hot air at 104⁰ C is passed to arrest
fermentation and reduce the moisture to around 2.8%
• The dryer mouth tea is then passed through fIBRE extractor (static current)
to clean the fiber and then sifter/sorter using various meshes to sorting the
tea according to the sizes
• Then the graded tea is packed for dispatch to various destinations
9. CONCLUSION
The industrial visit at KDHP was a great experience to us. From
there we have got a chance to know about the exact working of
organization . Main attractive thing that we found in KDHP was
the management style in KDHP now is very different, that is all
workers are shareholders and members of management board.
11. SURVEY AT ERAVIKULAM NATIONAL PARK
• Main aim behind the survey was to identify the problems that are faced by visitors
and EDC (Eco Development Committee) members in Eravikulam National park
• The survey was conducted by our institution along with the forest department
• Our batch is divided into 5 groups for making the survey more convenient and
assigned each group to different places inside the park
12. OUR ROLE
• Our group consisting of 5 members
• Our role is to collect the feedback from the visitors who are coming after the visit
• We have a set of objective questions with options, we asked it to the visitors and made 30
different primary data
13. ANALYSIS OF PRIMARY DATA
Our questionnaire was aiming at the feeling of the visitors that they felt after the visit. We
included questions about the watchers, guides, safety measures in the park, etc. Most of the

This survey was very beneficial for us. Through this research we
got some idea about how a research should be conducted.
Governments invention to save one species by making this national
park is appreciable one. We should promote and co-ordinate with
governments activities like this to save our nature and our world.
