Sarojini Naidu was a renowned Indian poet and political leader. She began writing poetry at age 13 and published three volumes of poetry in her lifetime. As a poet, she was known for her lyrical style and use of imagery and themes from Indian culture. Some of her most famous poems include "Palanquin Bearers" and works from her collections The Golden Threshold and The Bird of Time. Sarojini Naidu made significant contributions to Indian literature and was the first Indian woman to become president of the Indian National Congress.
