More than 66% of the marketers surveyed said that they will
increse their digital ad spending in 2019
Only 11% saild that they there will be no increse in budget
this year.
Overall this is the story of optimism. Digital marketing will
increasingly be viewed as more cost effective helping brands
achieve business goals,thereby encouraging more spend in
coming years.

achieve, but they have yet to figure out how to measure
success. The remaining 14% said they have not identified their
digital marketing goals at all.

the need for continued education and training.

The survey also suggest Marketers need to understand that
digital marketing plays a part in an overall strategy, and must
therefore not be viewed in isolation from other marketing
activities.

But without the needed skills, tools, and support, marketing teams
might fall short in achieving goals. Psychological biases might
also come into play.
Embedded in their roles for prolonged periods and exposed to a
seemingly unchanging set of customers, in-house marketers are
prone to decision-making pitfalls that impact not only the
development of strategies and tactics but also measures of success
and failure. Still, only 34% of our respondents outsource
content marketing activities, mostly through agencies (20%).

content marketing activities are easier to monitor when done
in-house as marketers have access to all data and insights.

Other problems include budget restraint, lack of tools and dependence on third parties. The biggest challenge among our respondents, however, is establishing and sustaining engagement. However with the rise of Influencer marketing brands can target niche markets and build more engagement with the customers. Embedded in their roles for prolonged periods and exposed to a seemingly unchanging set of customers, in-house marketers are prone to decision-making pitfalls that impact not only the development of strategies and tactics but also measures of success and failure. Still, only 34% of our respondents outsource content marketing activities, mostly through agencies (20%).
