1) Wireless connectivity is key to enabling the Internet of Things (IoT), and over 10,000 patents related to wireless standards like LTE, WiFi, and Bluetooth were analyzed. 2) Over 3,000 patents held by over 160 assignees were identified as key to wireless connectivity standards for IoT. More than 700 of these patents held by over 30 assignees have potential for litigation. 3) Patent-holding companies like patent assertion entities (PAEs) and non-practicing entities (NPEs) hold most of the high-litigation risk patents, and some patents are being transferred between such companies for purposes of litigation and monetization.

However, lack of standardization of the different platforms can be a challenge for an interoperable IoT environment. Therefore understanding the features of each technology platform is essential to be able to differentiate how the technology can be matched to a specific IoT application profile. This paper provides an analysis of LPWA underlying technology in licensed and unlicensed spectrum by means of literature review and comparative assessment of Sigfox, LoRa, NB-IoT and LTE-M. We review their technical aspect and discussed the pros and cons in terms of their technical and other deployment features. General IoT application requirements is also presented and linked to the deployment factors to give an insight of how different applications profiles is associated to the right technology platform, thus provide a simple guideline on how to match a specific application profile with the best fit connectivity features.

The idea of Li-Fi was introduced by a German physicist, Harald Hass, which he also referred to as “Data through Illumination”. The term Li-Fi was first used by Haas in his TED Global talk on Visible Light Communication. According to Hass, the light, which he referred to as „DLight‟, can be used to produce data rates higher than 1 Giga bits per second which is much faster than our average broadband connection.
The high speed achievement of Li-Fi can be explained using frequency spectrum of Electromagnetic Radiations. From the electromagnetic spectrum we can see that the frequency Band of the visible light is in between 430THz to 770THz and that of Radio Frequency Band is in between 1Hz to 3THz, Hence the Frequency Bandwidth of the visible light is about 400 Times greater than the Radio Frequency Bandwidth. So more Number of bits can be transferred through this Bandwidth than in the radio frequency bandwidth. Hence Data rate will be higher in the Li-Fi and higher speed can be achieved. Using Li-Fi we can transmit any data that can be transferred using conventional Wi-Fi network. That can be Images, Audio, Video, Internet connectivity, etc.. but the advantages over the Wi-Fi Network are High speed, Increased Security, More Number of Connected Devices, and Less cost.

Li-Fi stands for Light-Fidelity. Li-Fi is transmission of data using visible light by sending data through an LED light bulb that varies in intensity faster than the human eye can follow. If the LED is on, the photo detector registers a binary one; otherwise it‟s a binary zero. The idea of Li-Fi was introduced by a German physicist, Harald Hass, which he also referred to as “Data through Illumination”. The term Li-Fi was first used by Haas in his TED Global talk on Visible Light Communication. According to Hass, the light, which he referred to as „DLight‟, can be used to produce data rates higher than 1 Giga bits per second which is much faster than our average broadband connection.
The high speed achievement of Li-Fi can be explained using frequency spectrum of Electromagnetic Radiations. From the electromagnetic spectrum we can see that the frequency Band of the visible light is in between 430THz to 770THz and that of Radio Frequency Band is in between 1Hz to 3THz, Hence the Frequency Bandwidth of the visible light is about 400 Times greater than the Radio Frequency Bandwidth. So more Number of bits can be transferred through this Bandwidth than in the radio frequency bandwidth. Hence Data rate will be higher in the Li-Fi and higher speed can be achieved. Using Li-Fi we can transmit any data that can be transferred using conventional Wi-Fi network. That can be Images, Audio, Video, Internet connectivity, etc.. but the advantages over the Wi-Fi Network are High speed, Increased Security, More Number of Connected Devices, and Less cost.

Intangible assets, which account for up to 90% of a company's value, especially patents, which make up the largest proportion of these assets, are hardly ever utilized for corporate value creation despite their value. In this presentation, I introduce patent management solutions for the development of patents that can contribute to corporate value creation, using the latest digital technologies such as AI, blockchain, and Web 3.0. I also introduce measures to maximize the financial use of patent assets secured through such patent management. In particular, I will look into the domestic and overseas trends of STO (Security Token Offering), which have recently been gaining attention in S. Korea, and learn about strategies and methods for patent asset STO.

Tokenization, securitization, and monetization of real-world assets refer to the process of converting traditional assets into digital assets that can be traded, managed, and invested in a new way. Tokenization involves the creation of a digital token that represents ownership or a proof of authenticity of a real-world asset. The token can be traded on blockchain-based platforms, providing a secure and transparent record of ownership and enabling the creation of new markets for these assets. Securitization refers to the process of pooling together a set of assets and creating new securities backed by the underlying assets. In the context of tokenization, securitization involves the creation of asset-backed tokens that represent ownership in a portfolio of assets. Monetization refers to the process of generating revenue from an asset. Maximizing Innovation through ChatGPT Powered Patent Analysis
Patent information can be utilized in various ways depending on how it is understood. I have devised a method to extract useful insights for the development of new products or services from patents in specific technology fields by using the analysis and cognition capabilities of GPT-4 based ChatGPT. I have applied this to the fields of generative AI, metaverse, and Web3-based fintech.
For the case study, in the generative AI field, I examined Google's patent US10452978 "Attention-based sequence transduction neural networks" (this patent describes the transformer architecture, which is the basis of most large language models (LLMs) for generative AI); in the metaverse field, I looked at Meta's patent US11302063 "3D conversations in an artificial reality environment"; and in the Web3-based fintech field, I explored nChain's patent US10776761 "Virtual currency system."
I input into ChatGPT a guideline consisting of five key steps: identifying the main purpose of the patent invention, summarizing the technological innovations in the patent claims, describing potential products or services based on the technology, identifying the main industry participants, and evaluating competitive advantages. For more details, please refer to the attached file and evaluate the level of results at your discretion.
The outputs generated from the method described can provide valuable insights for various business applications:
Patent licensing promotion: By identifying the main purpose, technological innovations, and potential products or services related to a patent, businesses can better understand the value proposition of their intellectual property. This information can be used to showcase the benefits of the patented technology to potential licensees, making it more appealing for them to enter into licensing agreements. Thus, you can more effectively promote patent licensing.
Finding potential infringement: Summarizing the technological innovations in the patent claims helps businesses clearly understand the scope of their intellectual property protection. By comparing this information with competing products or services in the market, they can identify potential infringement cases and take appropriate legal actions to protect their intellectual property.
M&A target identification: Evaluating competitive advantages and identifying the main industry participants can help businesses spot potential acquisition targets. NFT Financialization Overview
NFT financialization refers to bringing NFTs closer to financial use, mostly, by making NFT useful in DeFi protocols. NFT financialization is the most important element of NFT monetization innovation to overcome the low liquidity and high price volatility of almost all NFTs currently.
NFT Fractionalization splits a NFT into smaller fungible tokens that represent partial ownership of the NFT. The NFT is locked in a smart contract and the ownership remains with the original holder. Fractionalization can unlock liquidity for NFT owners and cheapens access to valuable NFTs, and improves the NFT market spectrum. An issue with fractionalization is a reconstitution after ractionalization. Buyout auctions alleviate the reconstitution problem to some extent.

NFT Lending uses NFT as collateral for loans. In peer-to-peer lending, borrowers and lenders manually negotiate and come to an agreement for loan terms such as duration, interest rates and loan-to-value ratios in a peer-to-peer fashion. This lending enables a customizable loan terms without a need to rely on price oracles. Because the matching process is manual time-to-liquidity may be slow. In peer-to-pool lending, liquidity providers fungible tokens into pools and borrowers take up loans from these pools instantaneously. Borrowers should put up their NFTs as collateral by locking them in smart contracts (digital vaults). This lending, however, must rely on price oracles to automate loan terms.

- 1. 1 ©2015 TechIPm, LLC All Rights Reserved http://www.techipm.com/ Increasing Litigation Risk with Increasing NPE Activities Exploiting the IoT (Internet of things) Wireless Connectivity Patents Many market researchers expect that the interconnected IoT devices will create a new market that will result in more than $1 trillion in value added to the global economy within 10 years. Wireless connectivity is the key enabler for the mass deployment of the IoT devices. To assess the potential patent litigation risk for the IoT wireless connectivity, patents that are related to the key wireless standards for the IoT connectivity (LTE, Wireless LAN, Zigbee, Bluetooth, NFC, UHF RFID) are analyzed to evaluate the technology innovation leadership. More than 10,000 issued patents in the US as of 2Q 2015 are reviewed. Patent disclosures in claims and detail description for each patent are analyzed as to whether the contents are within the scope of key technologies for the relevant standard specifications (3GPP, IEEE, ISO, NFC Forum, Bluetooth SIG). More than 3,000 patents hold by more than 160 assignees are identified as the key wireless standard patents for the IoT connectivity. To assess the potential patent litigation risk, the identified wireless standard patents for the IoT connectivity are further analyzed to figure out the patents that might be exploited for litigation: Patents owned by a NPE (NPE Passive) that may be transferred to other entities that might exploit them for litigation; Patents owned by a NPE (NPE Active) will enforce them; Patents owned by a NPE (NPE PAE) will enforce them for
- 2. 2 ©2015 TechIPm, LLC All Rights Reserved http://www.techipm.com/ monetization purpose; Patents owned by a PE (Privateer) that may be transferred to other entities that will enforce them for monetization purpose; and Patents owned by a PE that are transferred to other entities for the unknown purpose (Suspected Assignment). More than 700 patents hold by more than 30 assignees are identified as the patents that might be exploited for litigation. PE PAEs, NPE PAEs, Privateers, NPE Actives, NPE Passives hold 44%, 31%, 9%, 8% and 7% of the total patents with the potential litigation risk respectively. The IPR share of patents for the Suspected Assignment is 1%. To find a specific patent litigation risk, individual patent with high litigation potential is further researched. One interesting fact is that there were the increasing ownership transfers of patents with high litigation potential to several NPEs for the purpose of monetization. For example, US6519223 (Ericsson: System and method for implementing a semi reliable retransmission protocol) that is a patent used in litigation (Case 6:10-cv-00473, Texas Eastern District Court) transferred to WI-FI ONE, LLC. Other examples are: US8457022 (Nokia: Method and apparatus for providing signaling of redundancy versions) that was transferred to Cellular Communications Equipment LLC is exploited in litigation (Case 2:15-cv- 00581, Texas Eastern District Court); US8411557 (Panasonic: Mobile station apparatus and random access method) that was transferred to Optis Cellular Technology, LLC is exploited in litigation (Case 2:15-cv-00300, Texas

Another interesting NPE activity involving high patent litigation potential is the assignment to and from Cluster LLC. Cluster LLC involved in 45 assignment activities as an assignor (assignee: UPIP, WI-FI ONE, Optis Cellular Technology) and as an assignee (assignor: Ericsson, UPIP) as of 2Q 2015.
