Jetking brings you the intelligent wave of IT and the initiatives taken like SmartLab plus, JetEdge and JOST to provide world class education to our students.
In 2004, I applied for the Prince of Wales Award and this was my proposal I presented to the board for selection. The aim was to identify how we can learn how to use simulations in business context training through observation and secondments to overseas postings. Despite this presentation being over 10 years old, the issues are still the same for corporate Learning and Development. This surprised me that we are still talking about the same problems. The company Omni Asia Pacific was a previous company I worked for and no longer operating.

The training industry, like society itself and the world of IT, is undergoing far-reaching changes. Deeply impacted by digital technology, social networks and changes in socio-cultural practices, it is trying to adapt. This transformation inevitably raises questions about how effective new methods such as MOOCs, serious games, mobile learning, etc., are when it comes to learning, and the potential risks they create.
In a broader context, does innovation in training necessarily involve technological resources? This is one of the seven questions that are the focus of training professionals’ attention today.
Since its inception in 1926, the Cegos Group has weathered a variety of socio-technological upheavals and always managed to adapt its training practices in step with changing habits.
We have therefore tried to provide concrete answers to these questions, based not only on the most respected research and our experience in the field, but also on our values and our vision.

Antibiotic Stewardship by Anushri Srivastava.pptxAnushriSrivastav
Stewardship is the act of taking good care of something.
Antimicrobial stewardship is a coordinated program that promotes the appropriate use of antimicrobials (including antibiotics), improves patient outcomes, reduces microbial resistance, and decreases the spread of infections caused by multidrug-resistant organisms.
WHO launched the Global Antimicrobial Resistance and Use Surveillance System (GLASS) in 2015 to fill knowledge gaps and inform strategies at all levels.
ACCORDING TO apic.org,
Antimicrobial stewardship is a coordinated program that promotes the appropriate use of antimicrobials (including antibiotics), improves patient outcomes, reduces microbial resistance, and decreases the spread of infections caused by multidrug-resistant organisms.
ACCORDING TO pewtrusts.org,
Antibiotic stewardship refers to efforts in doctors’ offices, hospitals, long term care facilities, and other health care settings to ensure that antibiotics are used only when necessary and appropriate
According to WHO,
Antimicrobial stewardship is a systematic approach to educate and support health care professionals to follow evidence-based guidelines for prescribing and administering antimicrobials
In 1996, John McGowan and Dale Gerding first applied the term antimicrobial stewardship, where they suggested a causal association between antimicrobial agent use and resistance. They also focused on the urgency of large-scale controlled trials of antimicrobial-use regulation employing sophisticated epidemiologic methods, molecular typing, and precise resistance mechanism analysis.
Antimicrobial Stewardship(AMS) refers to the optimal selection, dosing, and duration of antimicrobial treatment resulting in the best clinical outcome with minimal side effects to the patients and minimal impact on subsequent resistance.
According to the 2019 report, in the US, more than 2.8 million antibiotic-resistant infections occur each year, and more than 35000 people die. In addition to this, it also mentioned that 223,900 cases of Clostridoides difficile occurred in 2017, of which 12800 people died. The report did not include viruses or parasites

Implementing Moodle for Skills Education
1. Key Challenges
EMPOWER PRAGATI
Ballistic Learning helps Empower Pragati to expand the reach of its skill
training initiatives through the use of e-Learning Portal.
Overview
Empower Pragati is an India-based private sector social enterprise specializing in livelihood
skill development to empower India’s disadvantaged youth. The venture focuses on
innovative vocational and skill straining programs that seek to create sustainable
livelihoods for the urban and rural poor. Empower Pragati is an Investee company of the
National Skills Development Corporation of India.
“Empower Pragati’s vision is to transform the
weakest and the most vulnerable segments
of our society, viz. girls, minorities, school
drop outs, migrants and disabledinto
empowered, financially-secure, productive
human assets.”
Prof. P. Lalvani
Director & Co-founder, Empower Pragati
.
EP's three main goals are:
• Conducting skill development programs for unemployed
youth
• Conducting skill development programs in schools and
colleges
• Conducting skill development programs for vulnerable
youth - women, juveniles, disabled
2. CHALLENGE
As with most skill development entity in India in recent times, Empower Pragati was under
pressure to reach out and train large numbers of people. Setting up on ground centers,
recruiting trainers and monitoring quality were investment and infrastructure intensive
options. Initiating e-learning and taking majority of their training to the net was the only
viable scaling solution available. The requirement from Empower Pragati also needed to
be turned around within a small time frame. To address these challenges and get the
project quickly off the ground, EP was seeking partner with prior expertise in e-learning
who could advise, develop and deploy the system.
EP reached out to Ballistic Learning to assist on the same.
SOLUTION
Ballistic Learning partnered with EP and advised on various facets of e-Learning, such as:
Ø Sharing evidence based e-Learning deployment best practices
Ø Assisting EP in discovering and firming up their requirements
Ballistic Learning first showcased Moodle LMS functionality and advantages to assist EP
in taking their final decision on LMS. Once Moodle was identified as the LMS best suited
for the implementation, BL undertook the following tasks:
Ø Branding and Configuring Moodle to align to firmed up requirements
Ø Training EP staff in Moodle administration
Ø Assisting EP staff in populating Moodle with instructional resources and
assessments
Ø Sharing rapid e-learning content development knowledge with EP with regard to
effective content authoring tools and their usage
Ø Hosting and Support of EP's Moodle LMS
Why EP chose Ballistic Learning
EP was keen to work with a vendor that had a broad range of deployment experience -
LMS deployment, training, hosting infrastructure, e-learning pedagogy expertise. They
were satisfied with BL portfolio and experience.
