This document outlines the requirements for a school project on the imperialism of Africa, India, China, or Hawaii/Philippines. Students must work with a partner to create a poster presenting information from both the native and imperialist perspectives on a Western colonization of one of these regions. They are provided with questions to research and include on each side of the poster, covering topics like daily life under colonial rule, resistance movements, independence leaders, reasons for colonization, how control was established, life for colonists, treatment of natives, and effects of imperialism. The poster must include at least four pictures.
