Executive Summary
A Destination Management Company with a complete focus on Key destinations, primarily
dealing with Travels Agents. Currently, more than 3000 Active Travel Agents are dealing
with for our products and services on regular basis. Our Main source markets are stating
outside northern India. There has been a huge challenge for Agents from West, South & East
to provide excellent quality services and value deals and that's where our organization fills
up the gap.
Our philosophy is to specialize in our key destinations and master them. Chalo DMC
emphasis is Exclusively B2B, and we stick by that, giving the best rates and giving the
confidence to our retail partners.

Founder Director - Siddharth Jain Siddharth Jain, with experience of over 20
years in the domain is the founder of the company. He is a thorough
professional and a perfectionist and is skilled in all fields of the trade, be it
operations, sales, or business development.
Director Sales & Marketing- Pranav Kapadia
Mr. Pranav Kapadia with a tourism experience of over 30 years in Sales
& Marketing, started his career in Mumbai with Lufthansa German
Airlines and held leadership roles at Air New Zealand and South African
Airways prior to starting his own travel representative company, Global
Destinations in 2008. Pranav's vast tourism experience has ensured a
25% YOY growth for all companies represented by Global Destinations.
Director Finance Sumit Jain
Mr. Sumit Jain, an alumnus of IIMA and JBIMS with experience of 22 years in
Finance, Supply Chain is currently focussed on building an organizational culture
of performance-based service delivery, driven by IMU philosophy translating to
the customer and employee experience.
Keeping this basic concept in mind our team inculcates diligent members who are
always on their toes to serve you better and make your travel experience exuberant. The
team is widely experienced and dedicated to ensuring clients are more than satisfied with
every aspect of our service.

Internship Report
JobResponsibilities:
My job responsibilities in Chalo DMC were to doing sales calls to agents and generate query
for the company and working in Chalo DMC query board system. Preparing Record of sales
call made, and query generated in excel and making commission invoice in excel. Booking
form filling for different destinations of Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh & Uttarakhand.
Package Sales (B-B)
File maintaining
-It includes five elements
1.Booking form
2.Pan card
3.Passport
4.Communication email with suppliers travel agent
5.Approvals from the headquarters
2.Booking entry in system (Chalo DMC query board application) -coordination with visa
team and getting the visa documents collected from travel agent for visa
-Coordination with central operation team
Objectives oftheReport:
 To understanding the dynamics of the travel industry.
 To explain the importance of B2B operation department in an online travel agency.
 To identify common responsibilities of operation executive
 To know the new marketing strategies that the companies use to sell their products in
market and increase sales.
 To know how to communicate with the Agents.
 To gain knowledge about different Travel Agents in India To increase our Destination
knowledge.
 To have an experience of tourism industry.
 To understand the current scenario of tourism industry.
 It is a great opportunity for all around development.
 Identification our weak and strong areas.
 For inculcating spirits or teamwork and to be able to work under the provided work
culture.

Suggestions &Recommendations:
During the on-the-job training at Chalo DMC, I gained practical and theorical exposure of
working in travel industry which will also help a lot once I will enter the industry after
completing our course. At On-the-job training, I got to learn to make corporate calls and
emailing to inform about various new offerings or products by Chalo DMC. I also learnt a lot
about the destinations covered in the itineraries and most prominently the ones for which
maximum bookings are done. The most popular tour packages for outbound destinations
sold by Chalo DMC are Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand & South Africa.
To sum up, my experience at Chalo DMC, B2B- Outbound department was full of learning.
As this was the first time, I got to work with a travel multinational company, it gave me an
insight of how various departments must work in harmony with each other to accomplish
organizational goals. The interaction I had with such a great mentor was an overwhelming
experience. The whole department was very supportive and always engaged me in learning
or the other to make sure that in these three months we must learn the essentials to enter
the tourism industry.
I cordially want to thank all the mentors I met during my training period for enriching my
experience with great learning and memories.
Some suggestions and recommendations based on my observations during three-month
period of on-the-job training are:
There is a need of Liaison officer who can do the filing work so that operations team can
focus more on pending queries and generate more sales.
There should be fixed lunch timing as sometimes it happens that employees have to skip
lunch because of the excess work pressure.
There should be fixed working hours.
Some incentives must be given to employees based on performance to boost their
motivation level and employee satisfaction.
Conclusion:
While working in Chalo DMC I had quite good experience. Chalo DMC gave me opportunity
to work on Chalo DMC intranet system which gave me motivation to work with full potential
as company is given me responsibility only by trusting on me. I have learned a lot of things
related to outbound destinations and travel industry while working with Chalo DMC like
how B2B sales & Operations can be done, how packages can be customized, etc.
Overall, I had a great experience while working with Chalo DMC has a good team. There is
no problem regarding revert of the queries & their follow-up process. If I get opportunity to
be a part of Chalo DMC I think it's my pleasure to work with Chalo DMC.

Preparing Record of sales call made, and query generated in excel and making commission invoice in excel. Booking form filling for different destinations of Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh & Uttarakhand. Package Sales (B-B) File maintaining -It includes five elements 1.Booking form 2.Pan card 3.Passport 4.Communication email with suppliers travel agent 5.Approvals from the headquarters 2.Booking entry in system (Chalo DMC query board application) -coordination with visa team and getting the visa documents collected from travel agent for visa -Coordination with central operation team

Suggestions &Recommendations: During the on-the-job training at Chalo DMC, I gained practical and theorical exposure of working in travel industry which will also help a lot once I will enter the industry after completing our course. At On-the-job training, I got to learn to make corporate calls and emailing to inform about various new offerings or products by Chalo DMC. I also learnt a lot about the destinations covered in the itineraries and most prominently the ones for which maximum bookings are done. The most popular tour packages for outbound destinations sold by Chalo DMC are Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand & South Africa. To sum up, my experience at Chalo DMC, B2B- Outbound department was full of learning. As this was the first time, I got to work with a travel multinational company, it gave me an insight of how various departments must work in harmony with each other to accomplish organizational goals. The interaction I had with such a great mentor was an overwhelming experience. The whole department was very supportive and always engaged me in learning or the other to make sure that in these three months we must learn the essentials to enter the tourism industry. I cordially want to thank all the mentors I met during my training period for enriching my experience with great learning and memories. Some suggestions and recommendations based on my observations during three-month period of on-the-job training are: There is a need of Liaison officer who can do the filing work so that operations team can focus more on pending queries and generate more sales. There should be fixed lunch timing as sometimes it happens that employees have to skip lunch because of the excess work pressure. There should be fixed working hours. Some incentives must be given to employees based on performance to boost their motivation level and employee satisfaction.
  • 13. Conclusion: While working in Chalo DMC I had quite good experience. Chalo DMC gave me opportunity to work on Chalo DMC intranet system which gave me motivation to work with full potential as company is given me responsibility only by trusting on me. I have learned a lot of things related to outbound destinations and travel industry while working with Chalo DMC like how B2B sales & Operations can be done, how packages can be customized, etc. Overall, I had a great experience while working with Chalo DMC has a good team. There is no problem regarding revert of the queries & their follow-up process. If I get opportunity to be a part of Chalo DMC I think it's my pleasure to work with Chalo DMC.
