This document contains questions related to a digital image processing assignment. It includes 30 short questions and 25 long questions covering various topics in digital image processing such as image formation, resolution, sampling, filtering, color models, transformations, compression, and applications. The questions assess concepts such as image classification, components of an image processing workstation, steps in an image processing application, storage requirements, and transmission times for images. Filtering techniques like spatial filtering and morphological operations are also covered.
Fuzzy c-means clustering is an unsupervised learning technique where each data point can belong to multiple clusters with varying degrees of membership. It works by assigning membership values between 0 and 1 to indicate how close each point is to the cluster centers. The algorithm aims to minimize an objective function to determine these optimal membership values and cluster centers. It is useful for overlapping data and outperforms hard clustering methods like k-means.
This webinar discusses energy efficient measures for server rooms. It begins with introductions of the speakers and an overview of their client's goals of reducing carbon emissions by 40% by 2020. However, they have discovered that server rooms are a major problem area. Data from the DCDI 2013 census shows that server room energy use is ballooning. In-house server rooms have low utilization rates, high cooling overhead and energy is a low priority without separate metering. Outsourced data centers have significant advantages in these areas. The webinar then discusses various energy efficiency strategies that can be implemented in server rooms like consolidation, virtualization, temperature adjustments, containment and free cooling. Case studies show energy reductions of over 50% are possible
The document discusses various image enhancement techniques in Matlab, including filtering, predefined filters, image enhancement tools, image restoration, dilation/erosion functions, and dithering. Filtering can be used to modify images through operations like smoothing, sharpening, and edge enhancement. Predefined filters like 'gaussian' and 'laplacian' can be applied to images with functions like fspecial and imfilter. Additional tools for operations such as histogram equalization, noise addition, and filtering are also covered.

Peter Corcoran, co-founder of FotoNation (now a core business unit of Xperi) and lead principle investigator and director of C3Imaging (a research partnership between Xperi and the National University of Ireland, Galway), presents the "Getting More from Your Datasets: Data Augmentation, Annotation and Generative Techniques" tutorial at the May 2018 Embedded Vision Summit.
Deep learning for embedded vision requires large datasets. Indeed, the more varied the training data is, the more accurate the resultant trained network tends to also be. But, acquiring and accurately annotating datasets costs time and money. This talk shows how to get more out of existing datasets.
First, state-of-art data augmentation techniques are reviewed, and a new approach, smart augmentation, is explained. Next, GANs (generative adversarial networks) that learn the structure of an existing dataset are explained; several example use cases (such as creating a very large dataset of facial training data) show how GANs can generate new data corresponding to the original dataset.
But building a dataset does not by itself represent the entirety of the challenge; data must also be annotated in a way that is meaningful for the training process. The presentation then gives an example of training a GAN from a dataset that incorporates annotations. This technique enables the generation of pre-annotated data" providing an exciting way to create large datasets at significantly reduced costs.
The document discusses digital image processing and provides an overview of key concepts. It defines digital and analog images and explains how digital images are represented by pixels. It outlines fundamental steps in digital image processing like image acquisition, enhancement, restoration, morphological processing, segmentation, representation, compression and object recognition. It also discusses applications in areas like remote sensing, medical imaging, film and video effects.

This document discusses various intensity transformation and spatial filtering techniques for digital image enhancement. It covers single pixel operations like negative image and contrast stretching. It also discusses neighborhood operations such as averaging and median filters. Finally, it discusses geometric spatial transformations like scaling, rotation and translation. The document provides details on basic intensity transformation functions including log, power law, and piecewise linear transformations. It also covers histogram processing techniques like histogram equalization, matching and local histogram processing. Spatial filtering and its mechanics are explained.
1. The document discusses morphological algorithms for converting an 8-connected binary boundary to an m-connected boundary. It describes using hit-or-miss transforms to detect patterns that cause multiple paths and eliminate the center pixel, requiring only one pass. The order of structuring elements matters as different orders can produce different m-paths.
2. It describes using the morphological closing operation to close the outline of a zero in an image.
3. It asks to identify the structuring element and operation used to produce images showing erosion, dilation, and other operations, noting centers and orientations of structuring elements.
1. The document discusses challenges with standard reinforcement learning formulations due to large state and action spaces. It proposes representing actions as operators that induce state transitions rather than discrete choices.
2. It introduces a generalized reinforcement learning framework using kernel methods to compare "decision contexts" or state-action pairs. Value functions are represented as vectors in a Reproducing Kernel Hilbert Space rather than concrete mappings.
3. Gaussian process regression is used to predict values for unseen state-action pairs by comparing them to stored samples, enabling generalization beyond explored contexts. Hyperparameters are tuned to best explain sample data using marginal likelihood optimization.

4. IHS NEDİR?
Yansıma şiddeti (intensity-I) görüntünün toplam parlaklığını
belirtir. Yani rengin aydınlığını,içindeki beyaz oranını
belirler.
değeri burada I ile
belirtilen değerin ifadesi
olarak algılanabilir.
Renklerin seyreltilme
derecesini bize gösterir.
5. IHS NEDİR?
Renk özü veya Renk Tonu (Hue-H) görüntüyü oluşturan
ışığın ortalama dalga boyunu ifade eder. Rengin baskın
dalga uzunluğunu belirler, örneğin sarı, mavi, yeşil, vb.
Açısal bir değerdir 0° - 360°, bazı uygulamalarda ise 0-100
arası olağanlaştırılır.
Görüldüğü gibi renkler
uzayında açısal olarak
ilgili görüntüde hangi
tonun baskın olduğunu
belirtir.
6. IHS NEDİR?
Doygunluk, rengin «canlılığını» veya «saflığını» belirler.
Yüksek doygunluk canlı renklere neden olurken, düşük
olasılık rengin gri tonlarına yaklaşmasına neden olur.
0-100 arasında değişir.
S değeri rengin
görüldüğü üzere her renk
tonunu gri ile kendi renk
skalası arasında hangi
bölgede olduğunu belirtir.
7. DAHA İYİ ANLAYALIM
Aşağıda Windows kullanıcılarının sıklıkla uğraştığı pencere
rengi bölümünün bir parçasını görmektesiniz.
H
S
V(I)
Görüldüğü gibi S değeri
rengin kendi skalasında
ne kadar saf olduğunu
veya ne kadar doygun
olduğunu gösterir. En
düşükte beyaza yakın
en parlakta ise canlı
dolgun renklere sahip
olur. H ise 360
derecelik renk
uzayında nerede
olduğumuzu verecektir.
V ise parlaklık
değerimizdir.
8. Görüntü Kaynaştırma Nedir?
Uzaktan algılamada, çok bantlı renkli uydu görüntülerinin
konumsal çözünürlüklerinin aynı bölgeye ait daha iyi
konumsal çözünürlüğü olan pankromatik görüntülerle
iyileştirilmesi işlemine görüntü kaynaştırma denilmektedir.
Pankromatik görüntüdeki konumsal detay çok bantlı
görüntüye aktarılırsa ve çok bantlı görüntüdeki spektral
içerik orijinal görüntüdekine uygun olarak saklanırsa,
görüntü kaynaştırma yöntemi başarılı olarak kabul edilir.
1. RGB–IHS donuşumu;
2. PAN görüntüsüne ait histogramı I ile uyuşumlu hale
getirme işlemi.
4. IHS – RGB ters dönüşümü.
(NIKOLAKOPOULOS, 2008)
12. IHS DÖNÜŞÜM AYRINTILAR
Adım 1.
Multispectral görüntümüzün sahip olduğu bantların(RGB) piksel
değerlerinin her biri yukarıda gösterilen işleme tabi tutulur.
Uydu tabanlı uzaktan algılamada, genelde çok bantlı
görüntülerde en az 4 bant bulunur ve I hesaplanmasında ağırlıklı
ortalamalar kullanmak renk anlamında daha iyi sonuçlar verebilir.
Bu ağırlıklar büyük oranda algılayıcıya bağlıdır. Yazılımlarda
algılayıcı tipi seçeceğimiz bölümler bulunmaktadır.
13. IHS DÖNÜŞÜM AYRINTILAR
Adım 2.
İkinci adımda I bileşeni ile pankromatik görüntümüzü
birleştiriyoruz. Aslında bir çok bantlı görüntüye ait I bileşeni
konumsal bilgiyi (Chibani ve Houacine 2002) içermektedir.
Burada F kaynaştırılmış görüntüyü ifade etmektedir.
14. IHS DÖNÜŞÜM AYRINTILAR
Adım 3.
H ve S bileşenleri H = atan (V2 / V1) ve S = 𝑉𝑉𝑉2 + 𝑉𝑉𝑉2
bağıntılarından elde edilir.
15. UYGULAMALAR
Erdas Imagine Yazılımı ile Görüntü Kaynaştırma
• Uydu: L7 ETM+ SLC-on (1999-2003)
• Tarih: 30.07.2002

16. LANDSAT UYDUSUNU TANIYALIM
Landsat uydusuna ait bilgileri internet üzerinden bulabiliriz.
Bizim kullandığımız Landsat Enhanced Thematic Mapper Plus
(ETM+) uydusunun bant özelliklerini inceleyecek olursak.
17. LANDSAT UYDUSUNU TANIYALIM
ekosistemin izlenmesinde tercih edilir.
19. BAND KOMBİNASYONLARINI TANIYALIM
Her bir bant RGB filtrelerine tabi tutularak çeşitli
kombinasyonlar oluşturulur. Bu kombinasyonların kendilerine
özgü avantajları ve dezavantajları vardır. Bu bant
kombinasyonlarından en sık kullanılanlarından birkaçını
inceleyelim.
20. BANT KOMBİNASYONLARI
Bu kombinasyon genellikle gerçek renge yakındır. Su habitatları üzerinde yapılan
çalışmalarda uygundur. Fakat dezavantajı görüntünün puslu olma eğiliminde
olmasıdır.
İçerisinde yakın kızıl ötesi bant içeren bir kombinasyondur. Kara ve su sınırlarının
ayrımında idealdir. Ayrıca çeşitli birki örtülerinin algılanmasında da kullanılır.
KAYNAK
23. GEREKLİ AYARLARI YAPIYORUZ
Eğer tanımlı bir sensör
bulamıyorsanız CUSTOM
seçeneğinden SENSOR
dalga boyu aralıklarını
girerek kendiniz
oluşturabilirsiniz. Buradaki
6. bant aslında 7. banttır.

anlatılan formülleri ile

işlenerek yeni bir matris
