 PCN required for key positions (Imbibing the
organization culture & values )
 HCN for lower & middle levels ( Extensive market &
cultural knowledge )
 Asking for consultancy services
 Can also use the concept of TEMPING if required.
 Duel language efficiency by the employee.
 Head hunting for key positions.
 The existing UK based managers have willingness to work
abroad.
 The organization has decided to use an ethnocentric approach
where qualified PCNs are required for key positions (Imbibing
the organization culture & values).
 Organizational control and coordination will be maintained
and facilitated because it can have greater control and loyalty
of PCNs.
 The organization has little need to train PCNs.
 Key decisions centralized.
 None of the UK based managers (PCNs) speak French fluently. So
recruiting HCNs is effective for eliminating language barrier.
 The organization has less time (only four weeks) to rebrand the
hotels and to open new hotels after that time. In this situation hiring
HCNs is the best option for lower & middle levels to expand market
in less time because they have cultural knowledge and they are much
aware of local cultural sensitivities.
 Opportunity to bring new ideas into the organization.
 May find candidates with more skills and knowledge than the
internal candidates.
 HCN can understand the local market better then PCN and can
communicate with people easily
