The Marketing Environment Is Continuously Being Shaped By...
The marketing environment is continuously being shaped by the irresistible force of technology
driven change and innovation Winston and Edelbach (2012). The technologies available today have
altered the fundamental principles and the communication tools available to marketers. Further
discussed by Baines, Fill and Page (2011), the advent of the internet has allowed for the
development and adoption of digital resources, from mobile technologies to the social web;
including blogs, social networking sites, and multimedia services etc. Meaning, companies can now
compete anywhere on the globe, on multiple platforms, thanks to the internet. This has changed the
ways entire industries compete and how they now offer, previously unimaginable, customervalue
and benefits (Capon 2012).
The digital shift has not only enhanced the communication methods of organisations, but has
arguably lead to a power shift in favour of customers is the customer king?
For decades, the traditional sales funnel process the more passive people you push down the top of
the funnel, the more buyers will fall out the bottom drove marketing behaviour (Field, 2012). In
essence, companies pushed customers towards their products and services due to their perceived
need and value. If the customers falling through the funnel needed further information, then they
would acquire a company brochure, call the company help line or visit the retail store.
However, Capon (2012) believes, that the passive

Essay about Analysis of Jack Johnson s Cookie Jar
Analysis of Jack Johnson s Cookie Jar Jack Johnson s song, Cookie Jar is a powerful influence to
challenge the beliefs and values of western society. The song is all about blaming what you have
done on someone else, hence the title Cookie Jar. The title is Cookie Jar because of the old
saying Who stole the cookie from the cookie jar, Who me, Yes you, No not me this means that we
are always trying to find someone else to blame, rather than ourselves, we try to find a scapegoat to

The repetition of turn it around makes the listeners think about what should they do and what
can they do to try to stop things like children playing with guns, because the repetition makes the
listeners hear it more then once and therefore the will absorb it more and remember it , so they
can turn it around. Jack Johnson is writing about how children are influenced by what they see
on TV. In this song the boy watches violent shows that have people shooting each other with
guns, the child now sees guns as something you are able to use on people and kills another child.
Sure I pulled the trigger but it needed to be done, Cause life s been killing me ever since it
begun this means that even the boy is blaming his misdeeds on life, this challenges the beliefs of
society because the boy is saying life is bad now, and there isn t much good in life. TV has a large
influence upon children and there shouldn t be shows with guns and violence on at a time when
children might be watching TV. The second stanza also makes listeners argue whether or not
parents are doing their job by actually being a parent and looking out for their children, this can

They get to murder innocent creatures. For their own benefit as well which is just saddening.
Mountaintop mining is horrible because it destroys ecosystems and damages biodiversity over an
extreme scale.
Animals are getting hurt during the process.Debris pollutes water and animals that drink it or live
in it die. This happens due to the large companies dumping rock off in a random area where it won
t get in the way still it has major consequences such as murdering innocent creatures. For example
the article Leveling Appalachia: The Legacy of Mountaintop Removal Mining states, During the
last two decades, mountaintop removal mining in Appalachia has destroyed or severely damaged
more than a million acres of forest and buried nearly 2,000 miles of streams. Mountaintop mining
hurts ecosystems and these ecosystems cannot heal after the damage has been done. In more basic

Comparison Matrix Paper of Transformational Leadership
Transformational leadership s influence on job performance, job satisfaction, employee attitudes,
and employee engagement has been studied and compared to the influence of transactional
leadership on the same. This paper compares three studies by three different researchers. Wright

They then moved to organizational structure and how that structure can support or obstruct
transformational styles such as formalization of processes and procedures, inadequate performance

House, and Arthur (1993); and Shamir and Howell (1999).
Emery and Barker (2007) organized their literature review in subtopics within theoretical issues and

linking organizational commitment and job satisfaction, referencing Porter, et al. (1974), and
Kanungo (1982). They authors reviewed the relationship between organizational commitment and
customer satisfaction as being well established citing Morrow (1993), Dornstein Matalon (1989),
and Meyer Allen (1988). Morris (1995) and Brown Mitchell (1993) were referenced in providing
the elements of employee job satisfaction. Emery and Barker (2007) compared and contrasted
transformational and transactional leadership and linked them to organizational commitment and

Push And Pull Factors In The Balkan Peninsula
The Balkan Peninsula is a region located in southern Europe. The northern dividing line of the
Balkan Peninsula consists of the Kupa, Sava, and Danube rivers. This region is surrounded by the
Black Sea to the east, the Mediterranean and Marmara Seas to the south, and the Adriatic Sea to the
west. Examples of physical features in the Balkan Peninsula are the many forested mountain ranges
that occupy the region, including the Balkan Mountains, the Dinaric Alps, and the Rhodope
Mountains, the varied climate ranging from cold, snowy winters in the northern mountains, to a
warm, humid climate characteristic of the Mediterranean, as well as fertile soil, especially in the
plains, and diverse plants and wildlife throughout the region, such as the endangered Balkan lynx.

The Balkan Peninsula is extremely diverse, and is home to more than 70.5 million people.
Examples of pull factors for this region are that Greece is the 9th largest tourist destination in
Europe in 2014, causing more people to want to visit, many of the countries in the Balkan
peninsula, especially Greece and Turkey, have historical significance such as buildings or artwork,
and the warm Mediterranean beaches known for sailing and tourists as well as numerous mountain
ranges that attract skiers are definitely pull factors for this region. Some examples of push factors
that act against the Balkans are that the economy at its lowest in that area, and unemployment is
very high, and most Balkan countries have a low standard of living relative to the majority of
Europe. In conclusion, the Balkan peninsula is a very diverse, mountainous region in southeastern

fossils or preserved remains of whales, scientist have determined that whales have only recently

evolutionary shift was due to the increase of ice sheets in the North. This increase in ice caused a

The shift in whale size occurred during the beginning of the Ice Age and the increase in ice
sheets may have caused a change in the distribution of food. Before the ice sheets, food would
have been evenly distributed; however, as the ice sheets formed, run off would ve increased the
amount of food like krill and plankton in the water, this increase along with the filter feeding
mechanism of the baleen whale would have given the advantage to larger whale, who would have
been able to utilize the dense aggregations of prey in the water.

A. This study mainly focuses within Big Idea 1, the process of evolution drives the diversity and
unity of life. Within the study, the scientists observed how organism are linked by a common
ancestry (1.B) through cladograms and the width of the skull from fossil records. With these fossils,
the scientists observed the shift of size in the whale s bodies and how organisms from a common
ancestor change and differentiate in structure over time. This allowed for them to see what traits
were gained and lost, causing not only speciation in the organisms but also overall phenotypic
changes. Similarly, in this study, the scientists were able to unveil how life continues to evolve with
a changing environment. Extinctions and speciation occur all the time due to the environment.

Broca s Aphasi A Case Study
Broca s and Wernicke s aphasia are two types of aphasia that can affect an individual s naming,
fluency, comprehension and repetition abilities. Aphasia is a disorder that occurs when there is
damage to areas of the brain, which causes an individual to have difficulty in areas such as
producing and comprehending speech. Broca s Aphasia Signs and Symptoms Major signs and
symptoms of Broca s aphasia include non fluent speech and poor repetition abilities (Murdoch,
2010). Brain Based Communication Disorders (2010) recognizes additional signs and symptoms
including consonant and vowel distortions, slow and hesitant speech rate, and an increase in errors
as utterance length and complexity increase for the individual with Broca s aphasia. Anomia, a
symptom featured in this type of aphasia, inhibits an individual to recollect words; not limited to
nouns (Harryman, Kresheck, Nicolosi, 1996). Speech/ Voice/Swallowing Deficits The speech and
voice deficits that accompany Broca s aphasia, such as non fluent speech, is often slow, strained,

like jargon. Accompanying symptoms of Wernicke s aphasia include paraphasias such as phonetic

one word replaces the intended word (Harryman et al., 1996). Neologstic paraphasia, also known

Vertical Expansion Essay
In the passages it is said that vertical expansion is something needed to be added to the way
urban area are constructed. So, the author uses facts, logical reasoning, and rhetorical devices to
persuade an audience that vertical expansion of urban areas is a good idea. First the author
discussed some facts to back up as to why vertical expanish is necessary in growing urban areas.
For example; the larger our population gets, the faster our growth accelerates, which means vertical
expansion should be used in order to accommodate the growing population. Or as the stated by the
author this kind of outward expansion is a problematic, antiquated model that we need to abandon
for upward expansion. Another one would be however, this expansion model hasn t been necessary
since the glorious... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The author was being frank when they said it s no secret our population is growing. Obviously
our population is growing and will continue to grow so the issue is that where do we put those
people without consuming all our natural resources. They also used imagery to help their audience
understand vertical expansion can improve our standard of living. So picture your favorite city; now
picture your favorite city, but this time, picture it in the future with the population doubled. By
making their readers picture their favorite dity it really helps to grasp the concept that we need
to up the architecture of homes in urban areas. There was also a pinch of pathos in the passage;
it s rather scary enigma: we expand our cities because our population is growing, yet we decrease
our ability to sustain ourselves by doing so. Thus vertical expansion will permit for a more
sustainable way for the population to thrive in the continuous development of the world. The author
uses facts, logical reasoning, and rhetorical devices to persuade an audience that vertical expansion
of urban areas is a good

He also has the record for most wins by a single goaltender in one season in Islanders history.
Sadly, his stats have quickly gone down ever since 2015. Halak is 32, an old age for NHL
standards. The Islanders can afford to resign Jaro, but it must come at the right price. Like
Seidenberg and Kulemin, the best years are behind him. The organization will be able to see
whether or not Halak should remain an Islander throughout the remainder of the season. It is
probable that Halak will ask for 2.5 million dollars per year, due to the fact that no team
attempted to sign him last season when he was waived by the Islanders. It is likely Halak will
not be on the team next year because the Isles are searching for a long term answer, plus Thomas
Greiss is signed for the upcoming season. Jason Chimera: 2 goals, 6 assists, 37 games Jason
Chimera was an Islander for two seasons. He gave the team a veteran presence and was a fill in
for the loss of Matt Martin on the fourth line. Chimera played a similar role to that of Seidenberg,
except with the forwards. For most of his career, Chimera was a Washington Capital and an
Islander killer. He switched sides and had a sufficient season last year, accumulating 20 goals.
This year, father time has caught up to the 38 year old. Rumors of retirement have started to
surface because of Chimera s decline in play. There is a strong likelihood that Chimera is no longer

Ancestry Of Fluorine Lab Report
Ancestry Fluorine was discovered by Ferdinand Frederic Henri Moissan, a French chemist who
was the first to successfully isolate fluorine in 1886 (The Element). Henri Moissan also
completely isolated the fluorine gas from the hydrogen gas and had many other great
accomplishments. He was even awarded the Nobel Prize for chemistry in 1906 (The Element).
Fluorine is the most reactive of all elements and no chemical substance is capable of freeing
fluorine from any of its compounds (The Element). Fluorine does not occur free in nature and it
took many scientists and tries to isolate it (The Element). Fluorine has an atomic number of 9,

The Documentary Film Outfoxed
To begin with, Outfoxed is a documentary film that came into being as a result of the progressive
and continuous work of the Filmmakerright, that is, the wing views. It clearly documents the fact
that Fox News has continually engaged in what amounts to consumer fraud by extensively airing
bias ideas of the conservatives. This contravenes the right of the people to be informed in a
balanced perspective. Importantly, the film gives detailed review and examination of the growth
and expansion of Murdoch s mediaempire; it does this by looking at the pros and cons of having
media ownership in the hands of few individuals like Murdoch. Critically, the film argues that

A Summary Of The Dominicans Controversy
As mentioned above, the first missionaries who arrived in Taiwan were Dominicans. They brought
with them a considerable experience of evangelization, arriving as protagonists of the Chinese Rites
Controversy . The Chinese Rites Controversy erupted in the 17th century and was not resolved until
the 20th century, when Pope Pius XII issued an instruction entitled Plane compertum est, which
allowed Chinese Catholics to participate in civil ceremonies honoring Confucius and the familial
dead. By definition, the term Chinese Rites does not refer to any indigenous Chinese ritual, but to
three specific customs. First, periodic ceremonies performed in honor of Confucius, in temples or
halls dedicated to the well respected Chinese philosopher. Second, the veneration of the familial
dead, a practice found in every social class and manifested by various forms of piety including
prostration, incense burning, food serving, etc. Third, the missionary use of the terms Tian (天

The Communist Manifesto Marx And Engels
For Karl Marx, the analysis of social class, class structures and changes in those structures are key
to understanding capitalism and other social systems or modes of production. In the Communist
Manifesto Marx and Engels comment that the history of all hitherto existing society is the history
of class struggles. Analysis of class divisions and struggles is especially important in developing
an understanding of the nature of capitalism. For Marx, classes are defined and structured by the
relations concerning (i) work and labour and (ii) ownership or possession of property and the
means of production. These economic factors more fully govern social relationships in capitalism
than they did in earlier societies. While earlier societies contained various strata or groupings
which might be considered classes, these may have been strata or elites that were not based solely
on economic factors like that of priesthood, knights, or military elite.
Marx s theories about society, economics and politics, which are collectively known as Marxism,
argue that all society progresses through the dialectic of class struggle. He was heavily critical of
the current socio economic form of society, capitalism, which he called the dictatorship of the
bourgeoisie, believing it to be run by the wealthy middle and upper classes purely for their own
benefit, and predicted that it would inevitably produce internal tensions which would lead to its self
destruction and replacement by a new system,

Affirmative Action Implications
Political Implications
As would be expected, those who support affirmative action are typically women, people of color,
Hispanics and/or Democrats, while those who oppose affirmative action are typically men, whites,
and/or Republican, as demonstrated by the graphs below.
It s clear that those who benefit from affirmative action tend to support it, and those who do not
benefit or feel that it discriminates against them are against it (though this is not always the case).
Supporters of affirmative action claim that it is the best way to increase diversity in schools and
workplaces. Diversity is seen as important because it brings different thoughts, ideas and viewpoints

In 2005, Richard H. Sander, a law professor at U.C.L.A., published an important article in the

elite school on partly nonacademic grounds is likely to struggle more and contended that if the
struggling leads to lower grades and less learning, then a variety of bad outcomes may result:
higher attrition rates, lower pass rates on the bar, problems in the job market. A separate study
showed that when the top black students in the country were admitted into the top colleges in the
country, they tended to be in the bottom ten percent of their class. When students were in the
bottom ten percent, they were far more likely to drop out due to demotivation or classes being too

The Structure of Biblical Authority
In his book, Structure of Biblical Authority, Meredith Kline explains, describes, and defends the
suzerain vassal paradigm of the biblical covenant and canon of Scripture. Scripture s authority,
according to Kline is not merely related to its ontology (that God has spoken it); but in its basic
economic form, Scripture is a covenantal document and therefore is authoritative. It is through this
covenant that God binds himself to his covenant people and they to him. As our covenant suzerain,
God sovereignly rules his vassals with covenant stipulations.
Part One
In chapter one, Formal Origins of Biblical Canon, Kline shows how the origin of the Old Testament
canon, coincided with the founding of Israel at the establishment of the covenant at ... Show more

Rather, as Kline shows, they are two identical tablets; one was for the suzerain, the other for the
people. Such is the nature of a covenant. Jesus summary of the law into two commands was not to
distinguish to separable areas of life, but two complementary aspects of our responsibility.
In chapter two, Dynastic Covenant, Kline answers several errant views of the nature and meaning
of Deuteronomy. Kline shows that the basic structure of the book is actually covenantal: preamble
(1:1 5), prologue (1:6 4:49), stipulations (5 26), curses and blessings (27 30), and succession
arrangements (31 34).
The intrusion is Kline s address chapter three, The Intrusion and the Decalogue. Due to the Fall,
we must await the consummation during which even creation groans and travails in birth pains.
Yet there is an intrusion of the is consummation which breaks through beforehand. This is easily
seen in Christ and the Spirit in the New Testament, but what about the Old? This intrusion has
realized eschatology at its very core, in its symbolism we may see the already not yet . There is

The Pros And Cons Of The Anti-War Movement
Thus in conclusion, the drafting of young American men by the American government and the
subsequent reaction of draft protests, added to the chaotic situation the Policy makers were facing
due to the public disorder created, but at the same time also evidenced the limitations of the student
s power and ability to truly gain significant public support and be taken seriously. Such limitations
will reoccur later and mark one of the reasons why the student s movement was not fully
responsible for the withdrawal of American troops in 1975.
Strengths and Weaknesses of the Movement
By 1965 together with the staging of massive demonstrations, the teach in wave and draft protests
by students, the anti war movement in universities continued to evidence the war as a major
political issue and kept it in national spotlight (Hall 127). Although it might not have seemed
apparent at the time of the protests, the sustained activism against the war, maintained the vast
pressure on the administrations to bring the conflict to a close ... Show more content on

Historians argue the diversity of the movement and the tactics used were the major strengths the
movement had. Hall states that thanks to the large variety of activities (stated in the previous
section) and its diversity, the movement with its fluidity could sustain the pressure put on the
Policy makers (Hall 119). Jones additionally argues, that with the spread of the movement to other
groups in society beyond Universities, it became more effective producing a cumulative effect
that sapped resistance power of the policy makers (Jeffrey Jones 3, 223). The strengths Hall and
Jones refer to however address the entire movement as a whole, saying that the co operation of
Student groups with many different activist groups such as civil rights groups, feminist groups was

The Dark Knight Character Analysis
According to a Russian proverb, God makes the priests. Jesters come from the devil. You won t
have any trouble believing that aphorism when you see Heath Ledger s mesmerizing performance
as the Joker in The Dark Knight, Christopher Nolan s masterpiece and one of the highest grossing
films of all time. Batmanis no longer just a comic book, but a story that become engrossing and
unfolds into a haunting tragedy. With great performances by the entire major and supporting cast
the movie creates characters that we care and give audiences of all stripes something to satisfy
them. In the Dark KnightBatman is not just a good guy is a good guy because he does good things
story but in fact a story where you can hesitate to call a good guy at all. The people of Gotham are
in turmoil and are calling Batman a vigilante and are blaming him for the deaths of cops and other
important figures in the city. The Joker (Heath Ledger) is not just a mustache twirling villain. He s a
Trickster whose deeds are nefariously designed to pose moral dilemmas for his enemies. Gotham
is under the process of recovering from the events of Batman Begins (the first film in the
franchises). The crime of the city is at its lowest point in several decades and there is finally a sign
that Gotham is working towards peace, a peace that has been a long time coming. This low crime
rate is thanks to the team work between the three heavy hitters of law enforcement in Gotham the

The Craft By Nokia
The Craft
Princess Nokia stated in Brujas I m a black Native American I vanquish all evil. She did this to
carve out a space for her native identity. Contending that in every way the process of Western
Civilization commits genocide toward all living things militant Indian rhetors blatantly reject
assimilation into white society, advocating instead a return to traditional tribal values (Lake 732
1983). She did this by embracing her native religion of witchcraft. Furthermore, she emphasized
that a return to traditional witchcraft would better society. She did this by recreating The Craft in
her music video.
The most obvious recreation was that of the forest scene of The Craft. She altered the
perspective of the coven though the way that the knife was portrayed. In The Craft the knife was
represented as a killing instrument. The women were asked if they had any fear to rush upon
the blade rather than join the coven. In their perspective only strong witches would be allowed
into the coven. Princess Nokia s altered that the meaning of the knife to be seen as honor. The
blade moves from shoulder to shoulder as if dubbing them into a new title. She did this in order
to change emotion and persuaded the viewer to look at this ritual in a different way. It shifted the
perception of being in a coven as something dangerous to something that builds power and
community. She also stated I aint no queen of the night I m a bruja I m a bruja and ima dress in

Christian Interpretation Of Forgiveness
Forgiveness is the deliberate and voluntary process by which the victim of the wrong doing
undergoes a change of view, letting go of any negative emotions and ultimately granting the
offender a form of release (APA, 2006). The intertwining cultural events during the writings of the
Christian Bible and the Islamic Qur an have undoubtedly influenced their interpretations of
forgivenessas many differences are present in how they are understood, ultimately affecting the
implications of these teachings for modern adherents. The Qur an states that a person s forgiveness
is conditional on the person s ability to repent towards Allah which differs from Christianitys more
liberal approach focussing on the forgiveness between followers. This can be... Show more content

The Lord s Prayer includes the lines: And forgive us our trespasses; as we forgive those who
trespass against us showing the predominant theological understanding that interpersonal and
divine forgiveness are inextricably linked (Catechism of Catholic Church, 2005). This message
is shown through the most well known Christian prayer, emphasising that forgiveness from God
is directly associated with forgiveness in the lives of Christian followers. Furthermore John 8:7
highlights the importance of forgiveness in relation to one s own salvation when Jesus states
one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her (Bible Gateways, 2015). Such a
statement from the Son of God can be interpreted to be focussing on forgivers , voicing that no
one has the right to begrudge someone else as such an action would be hypocritical (Bible
Gateways, 2015). Matthew 18:21 22 also explains how Christians should forgive each other when
Jesus tells Peter that men should forgive each other not seven times, but seventy seven times
(Henrys, 2015). Taking this message from an explicit view, it can be assumed that one must only
forgive the offender a limit of seventy seven times however the implicit message being told by
Jesus is that one must be prepared to forgive numerous times as

My Greatest Moment In School
One of the greatest moments happened when I was in the eighth grade. It was when I started
wearing the hijab for sure and I lost a lot of my friends. I felt really lonely and I started sitting by
myself during lunch for the first time ever. I stopped getting invited to birthday parties and
whatnot. One day during my English class two of my friends that weren t talking to me at the
time came up to me and told me they supported my decision. They explained to me how hard it
was for them because they ve never seen me with the hijab, but they also wanted to try it because
it was new to them. My English teacher, Mrs. Fernald overheard us talking and said: why don t
you bring us hijabs tomorrow, we ll wear it with you . I was really excited and was so happy that
I started getting teary simple because I felt good to know that I wasn t alone. The next day I
brought them hijabs and put it on for them and we took a picture together. That picture still
means the world to me. I started wearing the hijab because I felt like it was the right thing to do,
but it was a hard transition. My friends kept telling me to take it off and kept asking if I was
having a bad hair day. It was hard for me to explain it to them because they kept asking why now?
It was hard to explain it to them in general. That moment showed me that my hijab wasn t stopping
me from doing anything and that people would support me if I showed them that my hijab didn t

Vietnam Veterans Against The War Essay
Brief History The first American troops arrived in Danang, South Vietnam on 8th March, 1965. The
troops mission was to defend the American airfield from the Viet Cong insurgents. However, their
mission gradually extended to defensive patrolling and later on taking the offensive. As such, the
number of US troops swelled to 184,300 by the end of the year and by1969, the number of
American soldiers had swelled to 543,000. Correspondingly, opposition against the mission, which
was previously minimal, rose magnanimously. In April 1967, a crowd of over 100,00 people
marched from Central Park to the United Nations Buildings to ask for the withdrawal of American
troops from Vietnam. By this time, over 8,000 American troops had been lost in the war. Following
the protests, six Vietnam Veterans, among those who had returned home formed the organization
Vietnam Veterans Against the War (VVAW). They wanted the government to bring their brothers
back home. Authenticity of the VVAW The main arguments for the authenticity of the Vietnam
Veterans Against the War was the idea that it empowered the individual as a change agent in the
sense that the veteran soldiers spoke out to forewarn their fellow soldiers about the conditions of
war. It also served to speak out for the hundreds of soldiers who were still on the mission to protect
the nation from the harm that they had faced and to champion for the morality of the American
soldier as idealized in their training. This brought about

Essay On The Nurse In Romeo And Juliet
In the tragedy play Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare, one of the main comical
characters is the Nurse who is an old lower class servant for the Capulet s. She wears a
houppelande (an outer clothing, with a long, full body and flaring sleeves) and is indicated to
be ugly and old by Mercutio in Act two scene four. In about the beginning of the play, the Nurse
appears to be a close friend and a mother figure to Juliet although she betrays her at the end when
telling her to forget Romeo and marry Paris. The Nurse has a very funny personality since she s
always making these inappropriate jokes. For example one of her dirty jokes are To fetch a ladder

To start, Shakespeare s opinion of what must be done for love is clear through the attempts the
Nurse makes to try and keep the relationship Romeo and Juliet were having a secret. The Nurse is
the only other person who knows about Romeo and Juliet s love for each other asides from Friar
Lawrence, she kept it a secret and supported Juliet s decisions even in times she didn t want to
out of her love for Juliet. The play Romeo and Juliet would not be able to function without the
Nurse in many ways. To start, the Nurse technically raised Juliet because of Lady Capulet s
absences if she wasn t around and some other servant or Juliet s mom raised Juliet, Juliet may
not be the person she is, she may never marry or even meet Romeo and the story would ve been
exclusively different. Secondly, the Nurse is a comical character which means she is a character
who makes the audience laugh in the play Romeo and Juliet with her inappropriate nurse jokes.
Also, Nurse acts as a go between for Romeo and Juliet without her the messages Romeo and Juliet

Their Eyes Were Watching Janie Analysis
The Impact of the Society and Class theme on Janie In accordance with the turbulent time period it
was written in, Their Eyes Were Watching God comments on many issues within the society of the
1930 s through various themes such as love, nature, and societal standards. However, the theme of
societal standards and expectations is perhaps the most prominent in the story, furthering the main
character Janie s development the most. In the book, despite the standards and rules imposed on her
by society, Janie learns to overcome them, thereby attaining happiness and an emotionally rich life.
As a mixed womanin the southern United States, Janie had always had rules and others
expectations thrust upon her, under the guise of either love or judgement. For example, although
Nanny intended for Janie to find security and eventual happiness through an arranged marriage
as a result of her own tragic life experiences, this backfired, as Janie was only acquired those at
forty, after two failed marriages. Her late second husband Joe Starks imposed societal rules on her,
often expressing how women should stay in the background of matters. After accepting his position
as mayor of Eatonville, Joe quickly took away Janie s attempt at making her own comments on the
matter by saying [t]hank yuh fuh yo compliments, but mah wife don t know nothin bout no speech

The Growth Of Population Growth Essay
The present rate of population growth is one of the most significant environmental issues we as
humans are facing. The exponential growth at which the population is moving is having direct
impacts on climate, energy, poverty, food, the global economy, and politics (Why Population
Matters). The world populationis currently 7.3 billion people and there is growing doubt that the
planet is able to sustain human needs and resource consumption (Population Concern). The
expansion of human population is impacting countries, societies, and cultures around the world
differently. These differences can occur due to, environmental, political, and societal factors that
can determine the severity of the issue and how the country decides to respond. The population
is growing at exponential rates and can be expressed by calculating the double time, which is the
number of years it takes for population size to double (Harper, Chapter 5). For developed
countries, the calculated double time is longer than that of a developing country (Harper, Chapter
5). The first case study under analysis is that of Rwanda, one of the poorest nations in the world,
which therefore has one of the lowest double time growths (Harper, Chapter 5). Food scarcity and
violence are the stories of Rwanda s fate and is outlined in Jared Diamond s book, Collapse . The
second case study being examined is China s human population growth, which is not only
negatively impacting its own country, but impacting others at a

The Causes And Consequences Of The Great Famine
Food is the most colorful part of the day. With its gastronomic range, the possibilities are endless.
Everyone in the world depends on food, whether to experience that burst of flavor in the mouth or
to survive. But when there is a shortage of food, what is to blame? The people who eat and
cultivate it? Or factors outside their control? The Great Famineis an example of this question.
The Great Famine was caused by blight that accidently came from America and affected the
potatoes growing in Ireland and in turn, affected the Irish. This was especially hard on the Irish
because in 1845, the potato was their main source of food. They had an average of 14 spuds a day
so they relied heavily on them. Potatoes only lasted two to three months so ... Show more content on

many that were on the ships were sick. The sick were sent to St. John as a dumping ground yet
they all couldn t be regulated and a plethora died on the ships. Many were so used to death and

The heat from the blast caused fires that burned for days on end. At ground zero, the heat charred
corpses beyond recognition. The heat ceased so quickly that surfaces not in the direct line of
radiation were left unaffected. This caused visible, clearly defined shadows where objects were

Brady Tragic Hero
Jerome Lawrence and Robert E. Lee s drama Inherit the Wind depicts the story of the Scopes

against the law. A schoolteacher within the town had been caught teaching Darwinism to his
science class, which drew attention from people all over the country. A famous lawyer named
Henry Drummond arrived to defend him, while a man named Matthew Harrison Brady, a well

His death was a result of his choice. He chose to not take proper care of himself, especially in the

piles mountains of food on his plate. Even though his wife had warned him to be careful in the
heat and eating, he takes a large amount of food from the table. It had to have been a repeated
behavior, since Mrs. Brady mentioned the doctor warning Brady about overheating. He let his
appetite control him, and ignored the risks of eating so much outside in the heat. Furthermore,
Brady didn t stop to calm down after getting worked up over the lack of attention from observers.
To illustrate, as Brady s face began turning red, he freezes. His lips move, but nothing comes out.
Paradoxically, his silence brings silence. Brady was too focused on the crowd that he neglected
himself. He continued attempting to gain their attention until he was physically unable to speak.

Without these brave generations of immigrants who had risked themselves to travel to our shores,
our nation simply would not be the successful country that it has been today. According to the
American Immigration Council, immigrants create job and business opportunities, increase the
wages of native born workers, and boost the economy in America.
President Trump says the goal of this Executive Order is to provide protection and security for our
country. However, the nationalities that he selected on his ban list have not killed a single person
in the U.S. According to the Foreign Policy Research Institute, the nationalities that were involved
with the attack of September 11, 2001 were Saudis, United Arab Emirates, Egypt, and Lebanon.
Based on this evidence, the travel ban will not make America safer; therefore, the Executive Order
doesn t serve its true purpose.
The U.S Government will need to do more than just extreme vetting and restricting certain
nationalities from coming to U.S soil to keep America safe. He will need to unite and persuade the
people in America and around the world that having the freedom of religion and tolerance surpass
jihad. Most importantly, we should welcome refugees who are fleeing violence and persecution
instead of denying them. Our country will need more allies than it has now, so preventing potential
allies won t make this country any safer.

The Philosophy Of Moral Philosophy
Moral Philosophy is rooted in four areas of standards, one of which is the central focus of
Hedonist thinking. The standard of moral philosophy that corresponds directly to Hedonism is
known as the Value Theory. The Value Theory establishes what is valuable in and of itself, what is
worth pursuing for its own sake 1. Goods that are valuable in their own right are intrinsic values, as
referred to in the previous sentence. Contrary to intrinsic values, instrumental goods have the ability
to lead to valuable things, but don t themselves hold significant value.
Hedonism, at its core, is centered around the pursuit of pleasure and the elimination of pain.
Consequently, when this balance obtained, Hedonist s will argue that an individual is leading a
tranquil life. Above all else, Hedonist philosophers John Stewart Mill and Epicurus, place pleasure
on a pedestal, in the way that pleasure stands alone when considering what is good in its own right.
Furthermore, they provide their insights on goes into the moral doctrine of Hedonism. The ultimate
good , according to the Hedonist school of thought, is always pleasure, however, this is not a united
stance by all philosophers 2. Opponents to Hedonist thinking, include Jean Kazez, Robert Nozick,
and Chris Heathwood. I argue that pleasure is not the only intrinsic good, rather it is one among
many other goods that hold intrinsic value. To assert my position, I will first discuss Epicurus and
Mill s explanation on what makes

The New Child
THE NEW CHILD AT SCHOOL Working with young children demand a special attention
because leaving their parent could be very difficult for them. There, are always a hard time for
some children who come the first time in school. I see that at my work some children cry all day
long sometimes one or two weeks they still are crying. It is important that a familymember can
come with the childfor a short period to visit the class before starting the first day in which the
child can realize that he has not been abandoned. It is also at the beginning of the first few days,
family member can stay a few minutes with the child s classroom for additional reassurance. As
a teacher, it is important to help the family, as well as the child, say good bye, I love you, when
it is time for mother or father to leave. I find in the book one sentence that I agree with, families
should be encouraged to establish a routine that maintains trust for instance always waving, good
bye, hugging rather than sneaking out when the child is not looking. Some parents are dealing
like that just drop up the child and leave or if the child cries they sneak. Therefore, teacher who

Erikson emphasize the importance of providing for children a social environment in which

Analysis Of Tupac Shakur s Song, Dear Mama
The struggles of a single mother is not something everyone will fully understand. In the late 90 s
there was huge poverty and gang violence in Los Angeles, California where Tupac grew up. Many
of his songs reflect on how his experience was in this environment. In Tupac Shakur s song, Dear
Mama found in album, Me Against the World, for a single motherto show love for her child takes a
huge struggle, especially when it was a time where gang violence was really high and fathers
would leave their children. Throughout the song Tupac uses imagery to capture the feeling of pain

The song implements on the hardships a mother will face for the growth of their son because
love is what keeps them going. The love a mother will have for her son means that even though
they don t have a father figure around to show them how to grow up, they will always have their
mothers to teach them the way of life through a woman s perspective. In the song, Dear Mama ,
Tupac mentions, For a woman it ain t easy trying to raise a man, you always was committed and
he is able to foreshadow the hardships his mother had to face while Tupac was growing up
without a father. At the age of seventeen Tupac, was always caught up in drama with his mom.
Since Tupac was young he got involved into the hustle and was left in the streets where he
basically had to risk he life every day. He never realized that being pushed into the streets would
make him think about his mother or even worry about her. Tupac reflects upon the behavior he had
during the time and how much stress he would add on his mother s shoulders, but little did he
know that his mother would be there for him regardless. Tupac Shakur s mom was committed to his

A Look at Desegregation as a Part of a Larger Phenomenon...
The term melting pot for America came about during the early 1900s in reference to America s
acceptance of all immigrants and races during the time period. America has, since the coining of
the term, proven that it was an artificial label with little resemblance to the truth. Throughout
history a great deal of white Americans practiced seclusion, segregation, and alienation of rights

Jack Johnson is writing about how children are influenced by what they see on TV. In this song the boy watches violent shows that have people shooting each other with guns, the child now sees guns as something you are able to use on people and kills another child. Sure I pulled the trigger but it needed to be done, Cause life s been killing me ever since it begun this means that even the boy is blaming his misdeeds on life, this challenges the beliefs of society because the boy is saying life is bad now, and there isn t much good in life. TV has a large influence upon children and there shouldn t be shows with guns and violence on at a time when children might be watching TV. The second stanza also makes listeners argue whether or not parents are doing their job by actually being a parent and looking out for their children, this can ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Introduction: After analyzing the fossils or preserved remains of whales, scientist have determined that whales have only recently evolved to be the large animals that we know today. Aphasia is a disorder that occurs when there is damage to areas of the brain, which causes an individual to have difficulty in areas such as producing and comprehending speech. Broca s Aphasia Signs and Symptoms Major signs and symptoms of Broca s aphasia include non fluent speech and poor repetition abilities (Murdoch, 2010). Brain Based Communication Disorders (2010) recognizes additional signs and symptoms including consonant and vowel distortions, slow and hesitant speech rate, and an increase in errors as utterance length and complexity increase for the individual with Broca s aphasia. • 18. The Communist Manifesto Marx And Engels For Karl Marx, the analysis of social class, class structures and changes in those structures are key to understanding capitalism and other social systems or modes of production. In the Communist Manifesto Marx and Engels comment that the history of all hitherto existing society is the history of class struggles. Analysis of class divisions and struggles is especially important in developing an understanding of the nature of capitalism. For Marx, classes are defined and structured by the relations concerning (i) work and labour and (ii) ownership or possession of property and the means of production. These economic factors more fully govern social relationships in capitalism than they did in earlier societies. While earlier societies contained various strata or groupings which might be considered classes, these may have been strata or elites that were not based solely on economic factors like that of priesthood, knights, or military elite. Marx s theories about society, economics and politics, which are collectively known as Marxism, argue that all society progresses through the dialectic of class struggle. He was heavily critical of the current socio economic form of society, capitalism, which he called the dictatorship of the bourgeoisie, believing it to be run by the wealthy middle and upper classes purely for their own benefit, and predicted that it would inevitably produce internal tensions which would lead to its self destruction and replacement by a new system, ... It was hard for me to explain it to them because they kept asking why now? It was hard to explain it to them in general. • 26. Vietnam Veterans Against The War Essay Brief History The first American troops arrived in Danang, South Vietnam on 8th March, 1965. The troops mission was to defend the American airfield from the Viet Cong insurgents. However, their mission gradually extended to defensive patrolling and later on taking the offensive. As such, the number of US troops swelled to 184,300 by the end of the year and by1969, the number of American soldiers had swelled to 543,000. Correspondingly, opposition against the mission, which was previously minimal, rose magnanimously. In April 1967, a crowd of over 100,00 people marched from Central Park to the United Nations Buildings to ask for the withdrawal of American troops from Vietnam. By this time, over 8,000 American troops had been lost in the war. Following the protests, six Vietnam Veterans, among those who had returned home formed the organization Vietnam Veterans Against the War (VVAW). They wanted the government to bring their brothers back home. Authenticity of the VVAW The main arguments for the authenticity of the Vietnam Veterans Against the War was the idea that it empowered the individual as a change agent in the sense that the veteran soldiers spoke out to forewarn their fellow soldiers about the conditions of war. It also served to speak out for the hundreds of soldiers who were still on the mission to protect the nation from the harm that they had faced and to champion for the morality of the American soldier as idealized in their training. This brought about ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 27. Essay On The Nurse In Romeo And Juliet In the tragedy play Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare, one of the main comical characters is the Nurse who is an old lower class servant for the Capulet s. She wears a houppelande (an outer clothing, with a long, full body and flaring sleeves) and is indicated to be ugly and old by Mercutio in Act two scene four. In about the beginning of the play, the Nurse appears to be a close friend and a mother figure to Juliet although she betrays her at the end when telling her to forget Romeo and marry Paris. The Nurse has a very funny personality since she s always making these inappropriate jokes. For example one of her dirty jokes are To fetch a ladder by which your love Must climb a bird s nest soon when it s dark . Here she is telling Juliet about a ladder that... To start, Shakespeare s opinion of what must be done for love is clear through the attempts the Nurse makes to try and keep the relationship Romeo and Juliet were having a secret. The Nurse is the only other person who knows about Romeo and Juliet s love for each other asides from Friar Lawrence, she kept it a secret and supported Juliet s decisions even in times she didn t want to out of her love for Juliet. The play Romeo and Juliet would not be able to function without the Nurse in many ways. To start, the Nurse technically raised Juliet because of Lady Capulet s absences if she wasn t around and some other servant or Juliet s mom raised Juliet, Juliet may not be the person she is, she may never marry or even meet Romeo and the story would ve been exclusively different. Secondly, the Nurse is a comical character which means she is a character who makes the audience laugh in the play Romeo and Juliet with her inappropriate nurse jokes. • 28. Their Eyes Were Watching Janie Analysis The Impact of the Society and Class theme on Janie In accordance with the turbulent time period it was written in, Their Eyes Were Watching God comments on many issues within the society of the 1930 s through various themes such as love, nature, and societal standards. However, the theme of societal standards and expectations is perhaps the most prominent in the story, furthering the main character Janie s development the most. In the book, despite the standards and rules imposed on her by society, Janie learns to overcome them, thereby attaining happiness and an emotionally rich life. As a mixed womanin the southern United States, Janie had always had rules and others expectations thrust upon her, under the guise of either love or judgement. For example, although Nanny intended for Janie to find security and eventual happiness through an arranged marriage as a result of her own tragic life experiences, this backfired, as Janie was only acquired those at forty, after two failed marriages. Her late second husband Joe Starks imposed societal rules on her, often expressing how women should stay in the background of matters. After accepting his position as mayor of Eatonville, Joe quickly took away Janie s attempt at making her own comments on the matter by saying [t]hank yuh fuh yo compliments, but mah wife don t know nothin bout no speech makin . Ah never married her for nothin lak dat. She s uh woman and her place is in de home. (Hurston 43). Opinions ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 29. The Growth Of Population Growth Essay The present rate of population growth is one of the most significant environmental issues we as humans are facing. The exponential growth at which the population is moving is having direct impacts on climate, energy, poverty, food, the global economy, and politics (Why Population Matters). The world populationis currently 7.3 billion people and there is growing doubt that the planet is able to sustain human needs and resource consumption (Population Concern). The expansion of human population is impacting countries, societies, and cultures around the world differently. These differences can occur due to, environmental, political, and societal factors that can determine the severity of the issue and how the country decides to respond. The population is growing at exponential rates and can be expressed by calculating the double time, which is the number of years it takes for population size to double (Harper, Chapter 5). For developed countries, the calculated double time is longer than that of a developing country (Harper, Chapter 5). The first case study under analysis is that of Rwanda, one of the poorest nations in the world, which therefore has one of the lowest double time growths (Harper, Chapter 5). Food scarcity and violence are the stories of Rwanda s fate and is outlined in Jared Diamond s book, Collapse . The second case study being examined is China s human population growth, which is not only negatively impacting its own country, but impacting others at a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 30. The Causes And Consequences Of The Great Famine Food is the most colorful part of the day. With its gastronomic range, the possibilities are endless. Everyone in the world depends on food, whether to experience that burst of flavor in the mouth or to survive. But when there is a shortage of food, what is to blame? The people who eat and cultivate it? Or factors outside their control? The Great Famineis an example of this question. The Great Famine was caused by blight that accidently came from America and affected the potatoes growing in Ireland and in turn, affected the Irish. This was especially hard on the Irish because in 1845, the potato was their main source of food. They had an average of 14 spuds a day so they relied heavily on them. It had to have been a repeated behavior, since Mrs. Brady mentioned the doctor warning Brady about overheating. He let his appetite control him, and ignored the risks of eating so much outside in the heat. Furthermore, Brady didn t stop to calm down after getting worked up over the lack of attention from observers. To illustrate, as Brady s face began turning red, he freezes. His lips move, but nothing comes out. Paradoxically, his silence brings silence. Brady was too focused on the crowd that he neglected himself. He continued attempting to gain their attention until he was physically unable to speak. He neglected his health throughout enough to the point where he couldn t handle what he was feeling. Without these brave generations of immigrants who had risked themselves to travel to our shores, our nation simply would not be the successful country that it has been today. According to the American Immigration Council, immigrants create job and business opportunities, increase the wages of native born workers, and boost the economy in America. President Trump says the goal of this Executive Order is to provide protection and security for our country. However, the nationalities that he selected on his ban list have not killed a single person in the U.S. According to the Foreign Policy Research Institute, the nationalities that were involved with the attack of September 11, 2001 were Saudis, United Arab Emirates, Egypt, and Lebanon. Based on this evidence, the travel ban will not make America safer; therefore, the Executive Order doesn t serve its true purpose. The U.S Government will need to do more than just extreme vetting and restricting certain nationalities from coming to U.S soil to keep America safe. He will need to unite and persuade the people in America and around the world that having the freedom of religion and tolerance surpass jihad. • 37. The Philosophy Of Moral Philosophy Moral Philosophy is rooted in four areas of standards, one of which is the central focus of Hedonist thinking. The standard of moral philosophy that corresponds directly to Hedonism is known as the Value Theory. The Value Theory establishes what is valuable in and of itself, what is worth pursuing for its own sake 1. Goods that are valuable in their own right are intrinsic values, as referred to in the previous sentence. Contrary to intrinsic values, instrumental goods have the ability to lead to valuable things, but don t themselves hold significant value. Hedonism, at its core, is centered around the pursuit of pleasure and the elimination of pain. Consequently, when this balance obtained, Hedonist s will argue that an individual is leading a tranquil life. Above all else, Hedonist philosophers John Stewart Mill and Epicurus, place pleasure on a pedestal, in the way that pleasure stands alone when considering what is good in its own right. Furthermore, they provide their insights on goes into the moral doctrine of Hedonism. The ultimate good , according to the Hedonist school of thought, is always pleasure, however, this is not a united stance by all philosophers 2. Opponents to Hedonist thinking, include Jean Kazez, Robert Nozick, and Chris Heathwood. There, are always a hard time for some children who come the first time in school. I see that at my work some children cry all day long sometimes one or two weeks they still are crying. It is important that a familymember can come with the childfor a short period to visit the class before starting the first day in which the child can realize that he has not been abandoned. It is also at the beginning of the first few days, family member can stay a few minutes with the child s classroom for additional reassurance. As a teacher, it is important to help the family, as well as the child, say good bye, I love you, when it is time for mother or father to leave. I find in the book one sentence that I agree with, families should be encouraged to establish a routine that maintains trust for instance always waving, good bye, hugging rather than sneaking out when the child is not looking. Some parents are dealing like that just drop up the child and leave or if the child cries they sneak. • 41. A Look at Desegregation as a Part of a Larger Phenomenon... The term melting pot for America came about during the early 1900s in reference to America s acceptance of all immigrants and races during the time period. America has, since the coining of the term, proven that it was an artificial label with little resemblance to the truth. Throughout history a great deal of white Americans practiced seclusion, segregation, and alienation of rights for non Anglo Saxon peoples. Perhaps none have suffered more than the African Americans at the hand of Anglo Saxon Americans. In his South Carolina Schools and Colleges Desegregation manuscript William E. Rone details the hard fought court cases against educational segregation in South Carolina during the 50s and 60s as well as events which related to those cases. The cases depict a story of intolerance, disregard for the law with respect to desegregation, and outright harm to non white Americans. Knowing America s past and present one could say that America is more akin to an un tossed salad than a melting pot. All the pieces coexisting together, yet perpetually divided by racial and cultural barriers as well as anger and fear of the unfamiliar. America, and the South especially, provided substandard segregated schooling and amenities for African Americans which perpetuated the culture gap and only widened the separation of races in America during the mid 1900s. One such example of the disparity between white and black schools was busing in Clarendon County South Carolina. Often ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
